The Pack is a TEAM of players that know their roles.....
ZO- Control the tempo (push the pace when available) and distribute the rock, with the occassional drive and dish/pull up.
Wood- Makes sharp cuts off of screens and tries to square his feet to the rim from beyond the arc... when he does, write "3" in the book. Sneaky good on D as well... he blocks his share of shots.
Howell- The blood, SWEAT, and tears of the team... the ENGINE that COULD. he beats and bangs on guys taller than him for 30 minutes a night... creating space to collect double digit rebounds and hit 60% of his FGs, virtually every night out.
Purvis- Mr. steady.... he plays so incredibly strong for a frosh. brings a TON of HEART and ENERGY to everything he does. he plays solid D (again, WELL ABOVE avg for a frosh) and knows how to finish on the break. his future is very bright (D. Wade, bright!)
CJ Leslie- The MOST gifted player at the collegiate ranks currently.... he can jump out of the gym and has a velvety soft jumper when he takes his time. easily the quickest first step for a player his size that the ACC has, and has the ability to hang 20/10 on you, every night out. he understands that he must create constant pressure on the opposing bigs, and does so with moves that would make Kevin McHale blush!!! his role is to TAKE OVER, and he did just that, against the #1 team in the nation yesterday.
TJ Warren- again (like Purvis), mr. reliable... which is rather weird to say, given that he too is a frosh. he rarely takes a bad shot and his FG% (2nd in the nation, I think) bears that reality out. he's a trash guy, and gets a LOT of loose ball around the rim/paint.. .and knows what to do with it after he scoops it up.
Tyler Lewis- he comes in and allows Lo to get some much needed rest, and is putting together solid minutes of late. he's realizing the speed/size of the college game is a bit more to handle, but he's still got an amazing skill set and will be good four year player for the program.
Go Pack!

which part can you dispute, envious one????

Lewis? Lewis is completely lost out there. This was a good victory against a banged-up Duke team, but the Pack's lack of depth is going to kill them going forward.

I agree that the coaching staff has done a lot with players someone else recruited and only 3 that are freshmen. It shows me that the players have bought in to what Gott et al are teaching.
Hans, Duke was NOT banged up. My God, they had 1 starter out, and that doesn't hurt teams like Duke because they have Burger boys on the bench, just waiting for their chance to shine. Curry went out with less than 4 minutes to play (hope he's ok), and their combined stats (points/rebounds) more than made up for Kelly's abscence. Not trivializing his inability to contribute, but Duke and other top teams aren't decimated when 1 starter goes down the way the rest of us are. K and Duke's team didn't give excuses for losing; why are you?
Lewis
I do agree that Lewis isn't ready for big-time college ball...yet. I think he'll get there and I believe, like Scott, he'll be around all 4 years.
