Restructuring these forums is past due
Wral really made a mistake when the created this sports forum. It is past time that they divided each site into two parts. One should be a "smack talk" area where these silly discussions can be carried out or ignored. The other should be reserved for civil discussion of the games, recruiting, coaching etc. When the civil site gets corrupted by the immature posters their posts can be deleted or moved over the the smack talk dribble. I would also like to see forums for general college BB, FB, ACC etc set up.
Come on WRAL, you can't possibly be pleased with what these forums produce in terms of content. Overhaul the site and provide something for these that want to avoid the bull that gets posted here.

That is absolutely right. I don't spend that much time here because of what happens to any attempt to have a civil discussion. I'd just like the chance to discuss local teams with area sports fans. That is why I suggested creating two boards, one for the smack talk so you and others can keep doing what you do, and another for serious discussion. Something for everybody.

Agreed. I like to talk sports with other ACC fans without all of the garbage. Smack talk can be entertaining, but all too often it dominates the discussion.

When WRAL sees there have been
100,000 views (it's coming!) on the "Lehigh" thread, and others like it, all they hear is "cha-ching!"
(Ad revenue when eyeballs hit pages.)

What they really need to do is have more proactive moderation. No more fake usernames for people that have been banned. Give them an IP ban, and if they get past that, ban them again right away. Would take care of a lot of the trolls on here.

For a tard like hal who can't even put together a coherent sentence, an IP ban would solve a lot.
