Storming of the Court Justified?

Storming of the Court Justified?

I'd really like to know when the last time a pre-season conference champ stormed the court after a home win. Other than NC State, obviously.

The storming of the court in Raleigh was justified when you consider how much the NC State Wolfpack have been desperate to beat Duke and be treated like equals.

Already a thread on this.

RE: Storming of the Court Justified?

I don't care if it's justified or not. The part you quoted is exactly the message it sends, and that's why I don't like it. You want to storm the court after winning an ACC or National championship, fine. But doing it regular season sends the message that we're so inferior to Duke that beating them is like winning a championship. Just storming the court was bad enough, but then they went on to party like it was 1999. I've never seen such a gala.

Beating Duke is a major accomplishment, you should be proud (if you were a State fan - which apparently you aren't).

RE: Storming of the Court Justified?

I think part of the excitement was the revenge element after blowing a 20 point lead last year. It was quite an accomplishment for a team that everyone else in the ACC has called non-relevant for 20 or more years.

Happy as a lark and proud of the team. Not so proud of the championship celebration and post-game party. Rumor has it, it was choreographed by Yow which makes it even more lame.

Fans being happy for beating an unbeaten team that has ruled the ACC for 20 years is bad? I'm glad they rush the court! We need that kind of enthusiasm from our fan base. Go cry in a pillow debbie!

If that one makes you laugh, I bet the ones written about EWEnc's squad this year have made you almost die laughing.

Umm, where did I say being happy was bad? I swear, the reading comprehension problems around here are ridiculous.
