I'm looking forward to the rematch and to the battles between Jabari, hood and cook vs tj warren and purvis next year. Glad the pack is back at the top with us.

Most hoops fans are aware that State has been down for many years. However, the 'Pack can still claim 2 NTs, which is more than most can claim. They're moving in the right direction, just need to figure out a way to sustain it.

Heck. Let's just give it to State after they beat Duke. Does anyone think that State isn't going to lose a few soon? Come on folks. Damm. State beat Duke. Go back and read the title again. State will lose a game soon. Some State fans have eaten this one up too soon. Be humble. Relish in the wins. That's all.

You'd think the lesson of the #6 ranking might still be fresh in the memories of some, but apparently not. Prepared to be called a troll for speaking like this, though. As far as respect goes, it is earned by consistent winning year in and year out.

Preseason ranking really dont mean that much, but only for the sports writer, fans & hater such as yourself, but they should not be a ranking poll until at least Jan. or Fed in my opinion.. \

As far as State getting respect, well, they started earning that last mid Fed. and the ACC tournament, NCAAs, continuing into this season.

State already has respect. State is already relevant.

If a team plays above its head for a few games, it doesn't necessarily get respect. But State has the recruiting, the coaching, and we're winning games by playing "OUR GAME". We're not playing over our heads. We're playing to the ability of our great recruits that we've gotten over the last couple of years.

We're already back.

There is no need for this blog.

We might be back in the minds of OUR fans, but, you really think we're back to UNC or Duke fans? Think they will EVER say, "yeah, the Pack is back?"

For those who understand hoops & that whole competitive spirit thing, your answer is yes. At this point in the season, State does appear to be back. TB, the critics will always be there. Your 'Pack is 14 - 2, 3 - 0 in ACC play & in 1st place, currently ranked 14th/15th in the land. Looks rock solid to me.

When it comes to critics who refuse to acknowledge the obvious, I do believe Bobby Knight said it best. Good luck against the Terps. :)

FWIW, this Dukie says yeah, State is back. They key obviously will be holding that ground that the troops have taken.

Yep, this game is maybe more important than the Duke game was.

In GT, State proved they could win a trap game (last game before #1 Duke).

In #1 Duke, State proved they could beat a great team.

In Maryland, State has an opportunity to prove they can win a hangover game.

The Flagship has 6 National Titles, dating back to 1924.

I don't see state college tripping over themselves to give The Flagship any respect whatsoever.
