Hmmmmmm wonder what moo u fans will say about a coach winning with players he didn't recruit - mostly

Thought about this. But still, Lowe didn't have them competing, much less winning. You have to give Gottfried credit for molding this team into just that, a true team. He has some great recruits coming in next year to go with Purvis and Warren. We'll see in 2 or 3 years where he actually stands with the program, but there's no denying he is doing a great job this season. Kudos to Gott for that.

yes he did.....thats why Roid only has 1.5 titles as i have stated for a long time. So looking at this thread now, UNC fans agree.

Sidney Lowe gets credit for recruiting them...but that is NOT the only job a coach is supposed to do..Mark Gottfried beat Duke with the players that he inherited and made them much better players. Making Lorenzo point guard, challenging CJ Leslie to be leader and much better player than he was freshman year, as well as making Richard Howell and Scott Wood more talented than they were freshman year, Sidney Lowe did not do any of that!
