There Really Are No Excuses!

State has tons of talent on that team, starting with Brown at PG. If KM had returned to UNC for one more season, the Heels would be a much better team. State should not have lost to Maryland tonight, especially after beating Duke. Good teams can come back from emotional wins and play their best on any given night. That is why, I do not believe this is an NCAA Championship quality team. They can get better, but do not seem to have that Champions mentality. Gott should have gotten in their grills at HT and told them to play like they are capable. This is on the coaches and the players tonight!

the refs let them play, and MD took advantage of it... outside of Howell and CJL, State's players don't do well with contact during their shots (Purvis isn't bad, but he's still too hesitant to drive). it was more of a wrestling match than a basketball game, but you have to be able to adjust... State just doesn't have the bodies to throw out there (md played 10 guys)....

it is what it is... 1 L in an 18 game schedule... put it behind ya.

Wow, wonder how MD was in the penalty at the end of the second half and state kollege only had 3 fouls if it was a "wrestling" match. Wolfers got the calls and still could not win. Poor things....and the fans all in tears! My goodness! LMFAO!
