Just saw this response -- yet another of poor reading comprehension skills from UNC posters -- drives me crazy.
What part of, "Beating the Wolfpack was a big deal for them. Beating UNC, evidently, not so much.... " did you have trouble understanding. Translation for those of you like chapelthrill who failed Eng 101 -- MD didn't care about UNC and therefore lost. It was their letdown game after their big win over State. Silly boys -- learn to read before you post.

Two things we need to clear up right now.

Regarding basketball: everybody loses in basketball. Losses aren't strange or unexpected.

Regarding Lindsay Lohan: I'd get on it and so would all of you.

    That is all.

Who cares? Maybe Leslie and Brown were tired from tag-teaming your sister last night - who knows? All I can say for sure is it's another notch in the win column, and you don't have to be an NCSU graduate to be mathematically astute enough to know that a record of 15-3(4-1) > 12-5(2-2). Even you poetry majors from Orange County Remedial College should be able to figure that out.

Here's to an entertaining game either way. State should take it but hopefully the Heels will play hard and the fierce rivalry between the two teams will make it a good one.

What excuse did the wolfers have for playing so poorly tonite vs Clemson???? UNC would have kicked that tail tonite PNC or not! I will say that this year with us rebuilding and you girls having your Dream team od 23 years we will probably split home and away this year. That will be great for you girls since we are currently on a 13-0 run. 14 - 1 will still be good! ROFLMFAO!!!!!! Haw,haw....and the numskulls feel great about that.....haw,haw!

UNC only beat Maryland because of the same "hangover effect" after a big win that caused State to lose to Maryland. State beat Duke, and the subsequent "hangover" caused them to choke against a pretty sorry Maryland team. Maryland gets a big lift out of State losing to them (NOT the same as them beating State). Then Maryland went to UNC for what should have been an easy win against a far inferior opponent, and fell victim to the same hangover effect (losing to UNC, NOT getting beaten, mind you). It's a tale as old as college basketball itself.

I hope the few of you UNC bandwagoners who make to this Saturday's game enjoy our superior facilities at PNC Arena, and won't be too sore about the brutal, one-sided a$&whooping your cellar-dwelling T-holes receive at the hands of the mighty Wolfpack. Feel free to join in on the rousing choruses of "won't get drafted!" as Strickland and Rick James McDooDoo shoot free throws - it'll be fun for the whole fam!

Agreed. Road kills/home wins. It will be interesting to see Carolina @ Maryland, State @ Duke. I think we'll see a pattern there as well.

Maryland has been tough at home for a long time. They didn't have a decent 1st half, and UNC did everything the correct way. MD made it interesting late in the game.

Easy answer: "Letdown game" for the Terps. I mean, afterall, their last game they rushed the floor after beating the 14th ranked Wolfpack by one point!

Look at their basketball home page: http://www.umterps.com/sports/m-baskbl/md-m-baskbl-body.html Beating the Wolfpack was a big deal for them. Beating UNC, evidently, not so much....

The wolfers are just not that good. We easily disposed of MD today while the wolfers took a beatdown from them. The Dream Team is a nightmare...forget the survey thread,,,,these results showed the answer to my question. soon UNC is ranked above wolfers. LMFAO
