Is Fla. St. Football Falling Apart?
I know it's not football season, but, the N & O reports today that OC James Coley is leaving his alma mater to join Miami in the same position. This brings to 6 the number of assistants to leave Jimbo Fisher's staff since the end of the season.
All remaining assistants are left over from former coach Bobby Bowden's staff.
Anybody know why everyone seems to be jumping ship?

A friend that lives in Tallahassee tells me they all hate coaching under Jimbo. Coley was his right-hand man and this departure particularly hurt because he left right before signing day and will probably affect some of their signees with no time to recover. But he also said Coley's wife is from Miami and the standard of living being so much better in Miami than Tallahassee had some role in this, but that most are assuming he timed it to screw FSU.

Wow. Losing 6 coaches with talent is going to hurt them big time in recruiting and knowledge.

Thanks for the insight. I thought it may have been something personal. Not a good sign for the HC when all your assistants take other offers. Wonder if the pressure is doing Jimbo in?

I dare say FSU won't be heading for the ACC exit this year after these developments.

There were rumblings last year by the talking heads that if Jimbo left, FSU may not be too upset about it. He is not a great game coach IMHTHO. I'd say this is really bad news for the Seminoles.
