RE: Avatar bet for the State-UNC game

Some of us made tentative avatar bets for the State-UNC game. Just rounding up all takers so we know who is in and who isn't.

I am in, with one exception: If Hess or Valentine are calling the game, I am not betting on it, as it is a sure win for Carolina.

Any other refs and I am in.

No conditions, in or out. I'm sure if UNC finds a way to gut out a win you will make some whiney lame excuse about refs, lighting, the shoes UNC is wearing, payoffs, etc. Time to man up and play the game like a big boy. This is how it is when you want to be a top dog in college basketball and the ACC. Whining gets you to 0-13.

Not on the bet because you won't pay up and will find an excuse not to. The Badger will unmask to show his true identity, a weasel.

Good God Thrill. Chill out. TBK put conditions on his bet that can be determined before tip-off. Wiggle room for him, and NOT cool, IMHWPO. But, you're acting like a drama queen about it. Get over yourself.

Sorry TB, but TBK didn't put conditions on the bet I made with him weeks ago. Seems that he is simply trying to back out of the bet that we have already made. I know you may not put much value on a person's word, honor, or dignity, but I'm a bit disappointed that TBK has demonstrated that his conspiracy-minded self is bigger than his commitment to honesty and integrity.

You're nuts. I named two refs, who were very unlikely to call the game, and said if they were the refs, I was out. Otherwise I was in.

Feel free to read my posts again since you clearly had trouble understanding what I wrote.

Again....once a bet is made there are no changes unless agreed on by both parties. No one person can make a change because it suits them.
Again - try that with someone making book. Same principle = A bet is a bet! I hate folks that back out on bets. One of the state posters on here now did it to me last year AFTER losing. Seems like something state folks do....guess it goes back to the honor thing Thrill mentioned!

Let it go man! He backed out like a coward, due to something out of all of our control. There is no honor in that. We did not make an addendum to the bet, he did. While this is really insignificant to life, on these boards, it carries some weight!

I didn't change anything. I told the conditions that would cause me to back out of the bet. The conditions were not met, therefore, I was still in the bet.

You people sure can nit pick. But that's ok, you have to attack SOMETHING since your Holes lost on Saturday. So we understand.

Nothing nit picking about thinking you can just make any change to a bet already made. Absolutely unethical is what it is. Oh well enough about that. She knows where she stands in most posters book from their comments on this.
