Rushing the court
I just wanted to point out that State fans did NOT rush the court after beating Carolina. Just like I said we wouldn't.
Those of you that thought we would were WRONG. I just wanted to point that out. :)
I say no more talk about the win over Carolina. State is something like 1-14 in the game that followed their last 15 wins over UNC/Duke. So maybe the fans should do their part. Instead of continuing to bask in the glow of the last win, let's help everyone involved to focus on the NEXT game.
RE: Rushing the court
I heard That was scripted ahead of time NOT to rush the court... You cant tell me most of those fans there DIDNT wanna rush the court.
RE: Rushing the court
Why would any ranked team rush the court after beating an unranked team they were picked to beat?
RE: Rushing the court
Is this supposed to be news or another post in the count for TBK? YAWN! No news here....move along now...lol!
RE: Rushing the court
I think security was expecting the fans to rush the court - they mentioned the extra guards they had at the PNC towards the end of the game. I thought for sure the fans would rush, but since they didn't, the word must have gotten down to the fans to not rush the court. I think it was State's way of saying beating Carolina doesn't mean much, even though it probably does.

This coming from the same guy that called it stupid or dumb to post a URL to an article about the hangover effect following the Duke game.

I don't think beating UNC meant much this time around. Maybe on the recruiting side a little. Like I said in other posts, I think it's about doing well in the NCAA tournamnent for State. It was a bigger game for UNC because they are on the bubble as far as making the NCAA's. Other than another conference victory, beating UNC doesn't really help them get there, whereas, UNC beating State at State would have been huge. Next year or even later in the season might be a different story if UNC can get their act together.

Wow you can read the minds of a whole fan base. There should be some good pay in a job like that.

I'm glad they didn't, but it took a concerted effort from Yow, Vitale, student body prez and security to convince them not to.

I know right? He's something else. Maybe the Duke hangover actually knocked some sense into him.
