Thanks Cheats - Better Than a Total Embarrassment
I think the terdholes not completely lying down the entire game was a good thing for State.
Sure, it was fun and good pour-it-on practice for most of the game, but without the maniacal play from the cheats to save at least some face, State wouldn't had much game material to learn from.
In the press conference Roy Williams, surprisingly, said he doesn't care about learning. Of course, all good coaches feel that way, not.
However, in his post-game interview, Scott Wood said that he himself
does care about learning from games, and I think the course of events in this game will help State continue to learn what they need to do to improve.
The way it played out should: --help keep them on point for the next game, -- increase their confidence that they can step up and hit foul shots to close out a game, --help them learn what they need to do to keep big leads and finish off a team.
I'm sure there's more positives that can be gleaned from how the game went than what I listed. What's for sure though, a
beat-down for 40 minutes wouldn't have provided much material to learn from, it would been only a lot of fun. For 3/4 of a game, sure, we had lots of fun, but the last 1/4 provided value beyond pure fun.
So, thanks Cheats for not lying down like a dead fish for the whole game, the flopping around at the end like a fish merely out of water will really help State improve it's overall game, leading to even greater success in the future.

^^^^^ Klassy posts from a really intelligent guy. Mommie bought him a computer in 1995 and all. He told me about it like he was real proud. Also how intelligent he is but of course reading his post you can tell that is a crock.

Wow. No greater proof that this tool has no life outside of this board is the fact that she posted a reply
THE SAME MINUTE the post was made. Sad. So sad it is being Ms. Sassie.
THE VERY SAME MINUTE! Oh my gosh, that is so sad. Go outside Sissy, there's a whole world out there. Living through this board is not good for you, you must know that. Inside, you know it's the truth. Step away from the computer, walk to the door, open it, and step outside. Outside won't bite, don't be afraid.

Troll meet thread. We must have a sign up that sez "We love stoopid" because that was the overall slant on this thread. Oh,Roy sez Hi with his 24-2 record against the Pack.
RE: Thanks Cheats - Better Than a Total Embarrassment
I would have preferred to keep pouring it on for a 40+ point win.
But I agree that we wouldn't have learned anything from that. So I'm glad we let up on the gas so they could come back. It made it interesting, and it kept our heads on straight. :)
