Roy Williams may not be the best coach, but yes he is one of the best.
-6th all time highest winning percentage at 80%.
-7 final fours which is 4th best all time.
    -20 consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances-second all-time.
-All-time record for most consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances with a win.
-Williams became only the 33rd coach in history, as well as the third-fastest, to achieve at least 600 career wins.
-He is the fourth active coach, and thirteenth overall, to win multiple National Championships. -In 2007 he was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame. -27 NBA draft picks.

I would agree with that except for the lawsuit that was brought against him by several former players. That leaves a stain on anyone's resume. Right now, It's K, followed by Roy. IMHWPO

... two National Championships are what they are, but STATE is looking forward to the next one to come, soon!

Yet he will still have more championships than all of them coming in and 99.9% of the country! Shows you what uneducated opinions really mean!

Sadly, when the big east teams fully join, Roy will not even be considered top five in his cnference, let alone the ncaa.

Yes, so far Miami is the stuff, and if Jim Larranaga keeps this up well Miami will be unstoppable, they are the future of the ACC in basketball, along with N. C. STATE as well.

2nd best in the ACC is Pitino. 3rd, 4th, and 5th? Bennett, Dixon and Boeheim but the order I'm not sure about.

    The best is Coach K.

If we're talking about basketball only, the answer is obviously Roy. No other coach in the ACC besides K has 2 national titles, and no other coach in the country has a better win percentage than Roy.

Gott-fired has proven his incompetence for his 2 years of not being able to win the close win. Not a finisher....poor guy. there also was a reason he was in the ESPN booth and not coaching 2 years ago....remember!

Aside from Coach K, who is the best coach in the ACC? I like Gottfried and I think he's moving State in the right direction, but he's no Coach K.

    I thought this was interesting.
