You might be right or it might not be anything more than just a twisted ankle. He might could have returned last night or not really doesn't make a difference. To lose him for the 1 game and lose that game is not as important as the big picture. It might be that his ankle was hurting and Gott would not take the chance of putting him back in and risking serious injury to an already weak ankle. They will need him much more for the rest of the season than 1 or 2 games. But if he can't return Saturday I don't see Sate beating Miami even at home. Lewis and Purvis both would have to have a great game for that to happen. Without Brown, State loses too many points, assists, have too many turnovers and loses a lot on defense. Purvis has the ability to make up the points, but Lewis would have to play a turnover free game and he has yet to show that he can control the flow of the offense and that is the biggest difference.
