precisely, that is what i am saying, its a wash...i was refuting the plumlee is clearly better statement...it would be equally ridiculous if i said, "Howell is definitely better than plumlee, advantage State"

^i see where Howell has fouled out of one conference game this year, the wake forest game....good thing he was able to squeeze 38 minutes, 13 pts&16 boards out of that game before exiting...guess i shot holes in that one, too

Howell is really good and a hustler but lets face it Plumlee has a shot of POY

Howell is nowhere near as good and sometimes just fades out of sight during games

Has anyone ever said why the guy sweats like a mule? It is unreal how he drips every game and I do not understand how other players want to get close to him more or less touch him

Hopefully my wolfpack can keep this one close at leaset as Duke is going to be fired up like we were vs Carolina

Plumlee will play in the NBA, and Howell will be lucky to play in Europe.

State is a very good team, but I don't see them going into Cameron and getting the win, with or without Brown. State does have a lot of talent, and players like Howell and Leslie are tough to beat, but Duke has Curry,Sulaimon, Cook, and Plumlee. I think Duke's bench is deeper, and I'd have to give K the nod over Gott. K is tough to beat once, beating him twice, with the second time on his home court is probably not going to happen. Should be a good game, though, and I don't see Duke winning by more than 10.

Howell 16 pts, 18 boards, scoreboard..plumlee 15 pts,11 boards...your assessment has all kind of holes in itYour head-to-head is a bit misleading. Plumlee shot 7-10 vs Howell's 7-12. Plumlee had 4 steals and 2 blocks vs Howell's 2 steals and no blocks. I'm not arguing that Plumlee clearly is better than Howell. I am arguing that it's closer to a wash than that either is dominant over the other. They both are effective against each other. Plumlee will be more comfortable in this particular game since it's on his home floor, as Howell was in the first game on his home floor and the loose rims will benefit both of them as well since they both rely on offensive rebound putbacks for alot of their points.

plumlee definitely better than Howell?...i dont think so...both average 11 rebounds per game, plumlee gets 18 ppg, Howell 13 ppg...,plumlee shoots 60%, Howell 58%...Howell has 13 double-doubles, plumlee 12...and then there is the head-to-head...Howell 16 pts, 18 boards, scoreboard..plumlee 15 pts,11 boards...your assessment has all kind of holes in it

State does NOT play well on the road!! Duke has settled into the line-up change without Kelly, is shooting very, very well, and is playing stellar D. If there are match-up problems, it will be State's guards attempting to defend Duke's guards Quinn/Seth/Rasheed. Anyone of those 3 can go off on a scoring spree. Duke will win this one.

Brown and Cooke, I don't see any advantage there. Probably Brown won't play, and if he does, he'll be playing hurt. Advantage Duke. Plumlee definitely better inside that Howell. Advantage Duke. Curry definitely better than anything State has on the floor. He's a senior playing against a freshman. Advantage Duke. Leslie and anyone they put on him. Advantage State. Home court advantage and experience. Advantage Duke. There's a reason why Duke is ranked higher than State. They're a better "team."
No need to poor mouth, Modook. Your team has an equal or better advantage. Duke wins this one by 10.
Probably the second coming of Monte Towe will play and not Brown.

As much as I'd like to think "State is due for a win", it just doesn't work that way. Brown is not going to be 100%. Doubt he even plays. Even with him at 100%, I can't see them walking into Cameron and beating K for a second time. Duke by 9.

At least...retribution is a dish best served Tartare and the Devils will feast on eviscerated Bovine, in other words, K is tough to play in a 2nd game, he will have his boyz attention on this one...without LO... with Lo, the Pack will still most likely not pull it out but it will be closer.

The key matchup in this one is freshman Tyler Lewis playing against Quinn cook, the third best point in the acc, but will be at his best at home in a revenge game. Tyler Lewis cracks under the pressure of his first true road game in the toughest away setting in America and the crazies heckling him with opie signs, cook thrives and the others fall in line. Duke by 15.

Leslie has a huge advantage over Hairston or a young Jefferson unless they can get into his head. Howell is a beast inside and has at least a slight edge on an often awkward looking Mason. If LoB is 100%, he has a slim advantage over Cook with his speed and athleticism. I give Curry the edge over Purvis because of experience but Purvis is far more athletic and has the potential to play a spoiler role. Sulaiman and Wood are pretty much a wash. Duke has the advantage on the bench with K vs. Gott and also with the homecourt. So it all really comes down to the X Factor. Whether or not Karl Hess officiates the game. :)

This is by far the most sensible thing that you have ever posted. I do have a li'l angst because of the match-up problems they present. Brown is possibly the best pg in the country and State has to have him for their final push.
