What does State need to do in order to win on the road at Duke this week?

I'm sure Coach K will try to rack up up fouls on Leslie and Howell so I anticipate Plumlee getting the ball inside a lot the first half. I think this will pose a huge problem for State either because 1. State will actually rack up a lot of fouls or 2. Plumlee will score at will. Howell and Leslie have to step it up or State will lose 3 in a row. It would be nice if Brown is back so we can have a fast transition offense. We'll see. Should be exciting.

I do think the refs will have a role in whether or not State can win. If the refs "let them play," State has a better chance. I'm not saying the refs are biased against State, but State has a more physical style at times and that can lead to more fouls. State has to adjust to ref's that are less lenient. As long as the referees are consistent, I don't care if they call the small stuff.

Duke in Cameron will be tough for NC State, with or without Brown. If Lewis has to play, the Pack will have 3 freshmen visiting Cameron for the first time. Factor in that Duke is playing to stay within 2 games of Miami and this is a tough win for State. I think State fans have resigned themselves to a loss, so a win will be big indeed. I love college basketball.

play some zone - Duke has excellent 3 point shooters and would love to see the zone
protect the ball - any team not protecting the ball will lose
make shots (particularly the chippies) - any team not making shots will lose
RUN - Agreed must control the tempo, very important
play very solid D and REBOUND - Correct Defense and Rebounding are key.

State's guards aren't as short and easy to shoot over as FSU's... IF Zo plays.

if Zo doesn't play, then yes, someone will be shooting over Tyler Lewis.
