When they shout, "Wolfpack" at the end, I believe that it's the student body paying tribute to those members of the pack who have served, are serving, and will continue to serve as long as there's a United States of America. As North Carolina residents and NCSU students, we the home of the Wolfpack are also the home of the brave.

The red headed step children have serious inferiority complex...my gosh just sing the NATIONAL Anthem as it was meant to be sung- if you can't understand that you are disrespecting all of us who served then you don't get it

It is a bunch of carp. There are a lot of us State fans that despise this practice. I cringe every time I hear it. So disrespectful. I can handle the part where they yell "RED!!!" because that IS in the song. But I think it is disrespectful to change the last word from "Brave" to "Wolfpack".

I shudder to think how that would come across on TV in games where they actually show the national anthem being sung.
