This is why I hate Duke (from a State fan)

They shoot lights out against us, then throw up a dud against Boston College. Then, on the last possession Duke gets away with taking out the BC player's legs out from under him.....NO CALL! It was an obvious foul and it would have put BC on the line for 1 and 1, only being down 1. As a State fan, I would be lying if I said I don't envy the calls that some teams get.

Don't concern yourself with what the dookies do. they're a bunch of toolsheds with no social skills. let them enjoy their basketball season because they have NOTHING else to watch/follow after it's over. their fradulent fan base dosen't even know they have a football team. talk about balance: they have none. be glad we represent in all of the big revenue driven sporting venues (baseball, football & basketball). I will never be jealous of these dooshers.

Yeah, I get what you're saying....but....you know it would be so awesome if we had a license to kill on defense and hang all over people's backs, and handcheck with both hands the ENTIRE game, or push-off before every shot we take.

Don't whine like a victim. You're better than that Wolfpack fan.

Duke shot well against us, but then, they were at home and our perimeter 3pt defense has been weak all year. Most everyone has shot poorly against B.C. in Conte Forum. If you'll recall, we struggled up there and barely pulled out the win, just like Duke tonight, and Miami a few weeks ago. The lighting in there is terrible (they use different bulbs) and the result is that it's a very difficult place to shoot if you aren't used to it.

As for the last play: he didn't get "undercut." Announcers are not always accurate in their description of events. It was a scrum, the Duke kids made the same frantic plays for the ball that the BC players did. If the refs were going to call anything, it should have been a travel on the BC player when he fell to the floor. Go back and watch the replays if you don't believe me. It was the BC player's own out of control and scrambling efforts that led to his fall to the floor, not being "undercut."

There are plenty of reasons to hate Duke. That they would struggle against another team in the ACC after a great shooting effort against us is not one of them. Our fate has been in our control the whole season, and we have come up short. We got no one to blame but ourselves. Stand up and be a man.

Perhaps you might look at this another way. State beat Duke and as long as Duke continues to win, the Wolfpack will have a high quality win against a top 10 team. Might make the difference between the NCAA and the NIT. That road win today was HUGE.

This has to be the most crybaby thread in the history of sports forums. Not only are you complaining about the refs, AGAIN and not even during a state game, you say Duke has nothing but basketball. False. Look at who won the acc in any sport more recently, and it is Duke over state every time. You really have the whiniest fanbase I have ever seen and I am starting to believe that this general mentality that a lot of state fans have is what keeps your team down. What star player out of high school wants to play for a school and fanbase that carries themselves this way. Shameless.

Maybe if your players, and coaches, bought into defense a little more (you know the other half of basketball) your team would not be on the bubble right now. Not the refs fault that state plays sloppy, lazy defense which results in a lot of stupid fouls.

remind me blueduke when the last time duke won a bowl game. hahaha. you are completely IRRELEVANT in football and baseball. enjoy your lacross and basketball. AGAIN, it's ALL you have. To top it off, why don't you humor the crowd and inform us all of your tie to the university.

I love how a team that gets so many calls loves to compliment their amazing "defense." If state could get away with half of the stuff Duke gets away with, we would also have a great "defense."
