Some know how to nudge ever so gently and some don't as evidenced by this video:

Here's the inspiration for the push off:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vdPQ3QxDZ1sand here's the same move, but actually called even though it was a softer push:

LOL The announcer (with Gminski) says that there is a little bit of contact, and the GT player went down on his own. ROFL What a joke.

Don't sound so surprised. Hans days masquerading as a State fan are over. I pretty much ignore him since he spit in my face when I was defending him weeks ago.

Not sure that was traveling. A precedent was set for this a few years ago, so the refs are being consistent about it.

Snaer's travel, blind one. SMH Just before he pushed off on the GT player, Snaer moved both feet, moving backwards, before he started his dribble. OBVIOUS. The ref was standing beside him and didn't call it. HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, no-call.

  • unc70 Feb 12, 2013

That was about as obvious fail by the officials as you can have.

I see stuff like this all the time during games, not just on the final shot.

I was so caught up in the push off I didn't even notice the travel. Now I have to go watch it again. :)

Knew it. You're not calling him out (you're being honest about that part), but your reason why is that he's a Carolina fan.

Dude, everyone knows this about you. You can give up the facade any time.

I wonder if the Head of Officiating for the ACC (Cloughery sp?) ever watches tapes to see these horrendous mistakes by HIS crews?

  • SpartanDude Feb 12, 2013

Wow, not only did the refs swallow their whistles, they closed their eyes until the horn sounded. That pivot foot moved across the GT logo before he started dribbling. Clearly, it's a free for all at game's end.

  • Unc r Hypocrits Feb 12, 2013

My God! He took 3-5 steps backwards before he started dribbling the ball. Then he pushed off with his right forearm to gain advantage. Holy NO-CALLS, Batman!!!

No, I won't call him out because he's not acting like he's doing some big investigation and making monumental, earth-shattering discoveries like you and the rest of the PPI crew.

Wow, I have a tough time accepting that one. Looked like a clear charge to me.

In my other blog, teams had their fair shot at re-taking the lead, and missed. But in this case, the team that was behind was allowed to very obviously charge in order to get their shot off. I don't think THAT should be allowed. Now if he got a clean shot off and missed, I would expect the refs to let a scrum happen as they fight for the rebound. But that was just BAD.

That's OK. I just wonder where Hans is to call YOU out for this, as well.

We all know he won't since you're not a State fan. :)

ok I think the prevailing thought is that all bets are off on a last play to determine a game - fwd this video to 1 min mark and watch Snaer's game winner - pay attention to his pivot foot - so GT deserved to lose this?
