    LOL -- so duhh-wayne...

kato has been "watching for more details" and in the final 10 games of the wolffie season, Lewis has averaged around 2.8 points and 1 assist in 10 minutes per game (0 points, 0 assists, 5 minutes today).

I.E., kato was on spot with his assessment (as he was of Glennon, Amerson, TOBy)...and thanks in advance for your blockhead capitulation...with emphasis on the word 'blockhead'.

So would Bogues, Towe, and several others. Lewis has been playing against bigger players all his life and so far its only got him on the McDonalds team amoung others. He'll be fine with his speed and hustle and he is gaining confidence in his shooting, ecspecially the 3s

Duke has managed to keep two pretty good point guards on the roster. I don't think State can manage the money though.

Lewis has done a solid job this year. If he loses too many minutes he could leave IMO.

^Well given that he is severely undersized, and will not be able to defend 90% of the guys he plays, pretty sound logic to bench him.

Understood -- just factoring in that Lewis is a pure-PG with size limitations and does not have the benefit of getting his minutes at SG, etc. Given the wolffie's lack of ball-handling depth this season, one would have also thought that Lewis would have had ample minutes...prior to Zo's ankle injury.

State could be in a world of hurt next season if players turn pro or transfer.

They currently have 8 scholarship players and 3 commits (all signed). Of the 8, 2 are seniors (Wood and Howell). Three others have been listed on mock drafts (Leslie, Brown and Warren). If they were all to turn pro after this season, State would be left with 6 scholarship players next year, one of which is Vandenberg.

I don't think lack of playing time is going to be an issue for anybody next year.

With the Cat coming on board, he may decide take his ball and go elsewhere (someplace where he'll have a better chance of getting 30'ish type minutes).

Lewis had to find his "game"/"confidence".

Turns out he just needed the added pressure.

Dude thrives on being told he "can't" do something.

Glad Gott found this out in early February, vs March.

Lewis is going to be causing headaches for opposing ACC coaches for the next 3+ years

    G'times.

Brown is a better point guard than Lewis. But State is a better team with Lewis at point and Lo at the 2. I don't think that will be the case next year, assuming Brown leaves. Barber is much more slight than Brown, and having both Barber and Lewis on the court at the same time will leave the Pack heavily out-muscled most of the time - especially on defense.

That doesn't mean Lewis won't be a valuable asset, especially if Barber should turn out to be good enough to be one and done. If State had more depth they might consider redshirting him (he's not going to play in the NBA). But State could be even thinner next year than they are right now with only 8 scholarship players.

kato is able to keenly observe and assess both.

Roy's line-up decisions to date have been quite baffling -- PJ's minutes should have been equal to or greater than other Heel starter since game one.

Gott's lack of confidence in Lewis prior to Brown's injury was quite baffling -- given the wolffie's clear lack of ball-handling depth, Lewis should have been logging more minutes all along. A head-scratcher as there were/are no other alternatives, bench-wise.

(other than being a viable candidate for the 'Glennon Performance in a Loss Award')

yes really, blockhead, your typically simplistic viewpoint doesnt hold water...the first 2 games Lewis started in college, were against the 2 best teams in the acc, miami and duke, duke on the road&looking for payback...Lewis had 29pts(50% shooting),11 assists,4 boards, and made 13-14 free throws...he had one turnover(0@duke) in a stellar performance that is proving you wrong, with special emphasis on the word 'proving', which is in the process of, so keep watching for more details..LOL!

Hmmm must have hit close to home Wolfpoc, she had to resort to unfounded personal attacks to make up for obvious shortcomings. Sass find a hobby once you punch out from wallyworld, you are a freakin major dip. Of course its understandable since your childhood was spent outside the fence (not chosen for a team) trying to heckle those that actually were and are included. Now go back downstairs before mommie catches you on the puter again. Poor pitiful little chapped ace ewenic still smartin over his hopes and dreams being crushed on Wednesday and his brief time above the pack sailing south.......STFU sass

    LOL.

    not really, duhh...

the only 2 games all season Lewis has been more than mediocre, were the ones he logged 36 and 39 minutes.

(and given both were losses, he is definitely a candidate for the 'Glennon Performance in a Loss Award').

he should get them, at the expense of some of Woods' minutes...he is waaay more efficient on the court, way more aggressive, and will also get others involved, like Warren, who tends to disappear if he isnt scoring

They range from moderately-debilitated (WolvesRHere) to severe (Bobo). Truly fascinating... I hope that when you die all alone in a pile of corn chips and empty Mountain Dew cans on that dingy, mildewed couch you live on in your mother's basement, somebody will have the good sense to preserve your brain for science.
