903wolffacepukie...you are always whining about something...if it aint dook then its state kollege. Grow up and stop being such an ABCer!

NC state leads the league in freethrow attempts with 593. Duke has 547 attempts. Carolina only 474. It's pretty easy to see state kollege is getting the advantage of the fouls with their big sister Dook.

In this case, I think it was some UNC fan whining about how State and Duke got all the calls. Not me.

Dook is the flopping team of the decade. Now they have even perfected the flop off the 3 point shot. Wonder what gimmick Kiwi will come up with next to take advantage of his pocket refs????????

"So I guess we should be whinning about how BC gets more calls than Duke and UNC."

I'm sure if there is something to whine about that you will find it.

    http://statsheet.com/mcb/conferences/acc/team_stats#freethrows

    BC - 256

So I guess we should be whinning about how BC gets more calls than Duke and UNC.

Counting free throw attempts to determine who gets more calls theory = officially debunked.

Interesting results when you look at FTA by the opponent:

    UNC 178
    State 219
    Duke 246

Duke is getting to the line less than the teams it's playing against.

Free throw attemts in ACC games only:

    State - 276
    dook - 233
    UNC - 222

Now give us the numbers that matter. Not overall, just the ACC conference games.

But FTA only tells part of the story. Refs swallowing their whistles helps a team but doesn't result in free throw attempts.

I absolutely concede the fact that State has benefited from poor officiating from time to time, just as every other teaam has. Also, human error is a fact of every facet of life, not only sports. Poor officiating will happen, and it's completely unrealistic to think that someday all error associated with it will be eliminated, and it must be accepted to a great extent.

Having said that, I've watched a lot of ACC basketball this season, just as many other posters here have, and all around the officiating in the ACC this season is THE WORST I HAVE EVER SEEN. I'm not talking about favoritism, as I can think of examples that have hurt or helped pretty much every team. It is absolutely not an issue of Duke, UNC, State, or whomever getting "all of the calls." It is an issue of total incompetence, and it affects every team.

NC State won yesterday with 43 trips to the line vs. 7 for VA Tech, and YES, I am complaining about the refs. Whether poor officiating hurt or helped the team I happen to support is irrelevant - what is relevant is the ineptitude of our conference's officials, and it should not be tolerated by league management.

Actually, I think TsKaMF was just completing Ovie's quote, since Dooksux conveniently left that little tidbit out. "Live by the link, die by the link" I say...

After all the calls and free throws UNC got against UVa and everyone else they play, you have every reason not to complain about the refs.

Wow, 903wolfheadpuker is crying about the refs more than TBK does. At least he is on the thread we designated for the krybabies....ROFLMAO!!!

And after that call at the end yesterday with Plumlee they have a lot of guts to say a darn thing about a ref to anyone!!

903 is a real whiner and crack eater!

Where's the thread for UNC fans to cry about the refs? Oh, that's right. UNC fans have no reason to cry about something that they are the beneficiary of.

NCSU VS TOP 50 rpi = 4 wins

UNC VS TOP 50 rpi = 1 win

    NCSU 91 UNC 83

    NCSU 18-7
UNC 16-8 ( nobody counts that win against Chaminade High School)

LOL.... Ain't no troll like a butt-burned troll, sassie:-)

Wulfpups go to the line 43 times and VT goes 7 and they still complain about the calls. I guess going to see those veterinarians for psychological counseling ain't working.
