Now give us the numbers that matter. Not overall, just the ACC conference games.

But FTA only tells part of the story. Refs swallowing their whistles helps a team but doesn't result in free throw attempts.

So I guess we should be whinning about how BC gets more calls than Duke and UNC.

Counting free throw attempts to determine who gets more calls theory = officially debunked.

Interesting results when you look at FTA by the opponent:

UNC 178
State 219
Duke 246

Duke is getting to the line less than the teams it's playing against.

NC state leads the league in freethrow attempts with 593. Duke has 547 attempts. Carolina only 474. It's pretty easy to see state kollege is getting the advantage of the fouls with their big sister Dook.

In this case, I think it was some UNC fan whining about how State and Duke got all the calls. Not me.
