Saturday!

Saturday!

Well, Kerlina's superbowl is right around the corner, and I can't envision one reasonable scenario where the Pack don't already have this game won at halftime, just like in Raleigh. Sure, the Pack have played some LOUSY road games, but I think Orange County Remedial College's lineup (especially Roy's "brilliant" new "small-ball" lineup) matches up the worst with NCSU out of all of the ACC's teams. Let's take a look at the matchups, shall we?

PG: Lorenzo Brown v. Marcus Paige (Advantage: NCSU)
SG: Scott Wood or Rodney Purvis v. Dexter Strickland (Advantage: haha! NCSU)
SF: Scott Wood or TJ Warren v. Reggie Bullock (Advantage: NCSU)
PF: C.J. Leslie v. P.J. Hairston (Really? Advantage: NCSU)
C: Richard Howell v. Rick James McDooDoo (Advantage: NCSU)

Thinking rotations into account, I can't come up with one plausible scenario where UNC stacks up decently against State.

The ONLY way UNC wins this one is if they play a full 40 minutes that resembles their little "comeback" in Raleigh, where they used up at least two games worth of luck by hitting 8/9 of their last attempts from 3pt range. Reality check: it won't happen again.

So... does anyone disagree? Barring a meltdown of Chernobyl-esque proportions, how can NCSU possibly lose this game? Can any reasonable person think that UNC actually has a chance of BEATING State, or do they just have to hope and pray that State shoots itself in the foot?

RE: Saturday!

If State defends the 3, they will win. If they don't, it's anybody's game.

RE: Saturday!

I am afraid we will lose as UNC looks so much better than we do now. We have blwon a golden chance to finally have a good year. We will not get another chance for another decade or so possibly.

RE: Saturday!

Great. Ricardo Montardoban is back.

RE: Saturday!

Even though we're talking NC State/unc here, Ill play the devils advocate. The new lineup with PJ starting is definately scoring at a much better pace. McAdont played his best game of the year against GT last night but that could be due to a lack of defense, McAdonts jump shot is not a thing of beauty by any stretch. Yet this is still the tarheels, and the game is at the Nose dome and if the 3s are falling for the holes this game could be interesting.....in a bad way.

On a side note, last nights State/FSU game was the best defensive play Ive seen from the Pack. Should they defend for 40 mins with the intensity they showed in the 1st 10 mins of that game, I predict a long day for the heels.

Im hoping for a W Saturday, but until then Im still up in the air. Alot less certain than the OP anyways.

Wow I think the Heels best bet is to forfeit and save face - did u do a similar write for the Pack vs Md or Wf?

RE: Saturday!

The holes get curbed stomped in front of the home crowd Saturday. Look for roy to offer his resignation. Go Pack.

No, I didn't. Maryland and Wake Forest were tougher matchups for State.

Also, if Roy decides to forfeit and send the itty-bitty Tarholes home early, it wouldn't be the first time.

Although, we all know that incident certainly wasn't to "save face" or to "protect his team and staff." Roy just threw a little hissy-fit and sulked off into the locker room with the "Preseason NCAA Champs" in tow. That is still without a doubt the most classless thing I HAVE EVER SEEN a coach do during a game. What kind of sorry piece of garbage just gives up? No man who wants to hold his head high and have any pride or dignity, that's for sure.

RE: Saturday!

Well, considering UNC is a bubble team and State is not, I think the answer to that question is pretty evident.
