I don't necessarily agree with your larger point.... but I have to say that I was very disappointed with his very careless and lackadaisical passing saturday. He pretty much put the ball right in UNC hands several times, through shear carelessness. What good is a rebounding advantage then?- Posted by barthc98

CJ had 4 turnovers in the first couple of minutes of the game and 2 the rest of the way. Your all-everything PG had 4 as did your Rookie POY candidate.
How easily some wolffies forget how many games they would have lost over the past 3 seasons without CJ. Similarly, there appears to be selective short-term memory wrt Howell's dumb fouls over the years and the times that (one dimensional) Wood has gone missing-in-action...both costing key games throughout.
As stated in a prior thread, there are other key concerns besides CJ that Gott has yet to figure out (Purvis slump, Lewis minutes, lack of TEAM DEFENSE, to name a few).

On one hand I believe if you are a star-caliber player, you bring effort every game out. Take Green for VT. Every game he gives 100% even though Im sure being a national top scorer on possibly one of the worst teams in the country has to be agonizing. Yet he never slacks because he has a winners mentality, and plays hard game in and game out. Calvin has had moments this season where he looks preoccupied with something other than the game. In the heels game I thought Purvis played with much more emotion and should have played while CJ watched.
Now..if Calvin suffered an injury, in any game, I would definately scream OMG. Because like you I too think that in order for the Pack to make any kind of run in the ncaas, we will need CJ/Calvin to play up to his potential. I love his game when he plays it, but Ive never been a fan of his attitude.
Well I appreciate you guys feedback, but I do think he is a cancer stick to this team. I really believe if we another guy besides him we would be a whole lot better off.- Posted by braves309
