Being the only #1 overall pick ever in the ACC I fully expect to see him join some of the Tarheel greats who are already in the NFL HOF and of course the future NFL Hall of Famer Jeff Saturday! By the way.......none of which were #1 picks! How many Pack players are in the HOF?

And the latest news on the most over-paid/under-performing defender in the NFL...

Mario Williams left Buffalo Bills training camp on Monday to have his sore foot examined by outside doctors. Teammates encourage him to get a 2-for-1 and have his head examined, too.

saKKKy - do you honestly think any UNC fan (or anyone else), gives a rat's behind about where Mario Williams was drafted? Seriously? I could be wrong, but I really don't think you're upsetting them too much. Now, I know you didn't go to State, but when you have to continually reach for stuff like this to pump up State, you're displaying the classic little brother syndrome I'm always talking about. I guess that's what fringers do, though.

Oh...you mean overall what they will make this year, 2013?
    Mario - $12,400,000
    Charles Johnson - $16,183,600
    Jared Allen - $17,063,956
    Reavis - $16,000,000 Tamba Hali - $15,500,000

Hmmm, those look higher than Marios for 2013, well they do to most SANE posters. Accuracy in your posts there SACOBaitNSwitch.

PrincessSAC, what I know more than you is to the exponential so moving on to the SMACKDOWN...

Dude, do you realize I'm beyotchsmacking you as bad as I did when you crowed about property values at The Ridge, when I gave you at least 4 examples where homes sold below what you said they ever did, and you ran like a case of Montezuma's Revenge. That article lists a quote from 2012 which you conveniently left out...uh, we are in 2013...and they list two players ahead of Mario in that article. Note: You said "EVER" and you used it in the present tense with NO frame of reference. Again, accuracy there ToolSAC...and he is not "guaranteed" all that money...gotta make it to claim it.

ToolSAC, you got absolutely obliterated on this one. I told you all that boisterous crowing and blathering would get you in trouble. Oh, I never got out of the chair, I don't need to stand up to tower over you.

^^^LOL, the QUOTE I provided from that article is from 2013, mrs. NON reader... it merely states that he signed the contract making him "the HIGHEST PAID Defensive player" in the history of the NFL, back in 2012... yet, it STILL calls him "the highest paid defensive player in NFL history" in the article written LAST WEEK!!! Ie- calling him the HIGHEST PAID DEFENDER in NFL History = NOT MY Words... tough break, pansy!
    .

Mario has the RICHEST CONTRACT in the HISTORY of NFL Defenders... and, that clearly leaves you feeling small.

Uh, yeah, it's a 2013 article quoting an event from 2012. It's like saying "Dean Smith became the winningest D1 Basketball coach in history in 1997"...yeah, in 1997. Again, you are using 2012 info, not 2013 today info. Again, you don't mention 2012, you spout it off in the present and exposing yourself as a purveyor of bombastic stoopidity. ToolSAC, I gave you the numbers above. Mario is not at the top this year, today, period, and you are exposed as the misleading blowhard we know you to be...oh, and you ran from the truth again by trying to spin this because you can't MAN UP.

"Mario Williams became the highest paid defensive player in NFL history by signing a six-year, $96 million contract (with $50 million in guarantees and $4 million in not-likely-to-be-earned incentives) in 2012" Really? "NOT LIKELY TO BE EARNED INCENTIVES"

for, substitute "paid" with "salary" or "contract" or whatever other term you'd like to use to discuss potential compensation... and the lil ruined one is left only with a game of semantics to play.... for, REALITY is NOT her friend.

No where does it say he is the highest paid athlete of all time. He is the only NBA payer to make over 30 million in a year, but that's not all athletes, just NBA. Tiger Woods has probably come very close to that if not topped it and he may very well reach a billion before Jorden, but the last couple of years have hurt him. Some boxers may also be close to that 30 million a year. So there are other athletes that may have made that money, article just says NBA players for a year, he still may be the first athlete to a billion, or he may not.
