Negative...but Freeman is playing his way out of it.

[note: Turkey Neck did not win the starting position @ Western Blvd U -- it was GIVEN to him without competition.]

State should be proud. Rivers and Wilson have shown their intelligence and skills. Wilson is one of the smartest young players in the entire NFL. Rivers has played for some pretty weak coaches.

Rivers was drafted out of NCSU.
Wilson was drafted out of Wisconsin, the school he last played for.
And are you really dumb enough to think that Glennon will replace Freeman? Just like in Washington where RG3 hasn't taken a snap the entire preseason, both Freeman and RG3 will start.

You rabid state fans need to stop trying to RECLAIM RW after you kicked him out. All of you said it was the right decision and now that he has gone beyond ALL expectations, you want to call him yours. He only graduated from NCSU, he wasn't drafted from there.

The commissioner said on draft night, "And with the whatever pick, the Seattle Seahawk choose Russell Wilson out of WISCONSIN." He didn't even mention NCSU.

Now tell us again WHO those three are?

Gotta admit, Rivers and RW starting is impressive. Glennon has to earn his stripes, but to have three QB's drafted in the NFL is impressive. Out of the three, RW stands out the most - such a smart and talented young man, and a wonderful role model.

  • ncstateforever Aug 28, 2013

No doubt Russell is a special guy, and maybe the best young quarterback in the NFL. Not only is he a great player but he has great character. I'm hoping Glennon can start at Tampa, but I'm not hoping they win any games against Carolina. Rivers has shown he's a great NFL quarterback, but he seems to have struggled last year probably because good quarterback need good support. It seems TOB was pretty good at recruiting quarterbacks.

Oh, RW is listed in the NFL sites and Wikipedia as from the University of Wisconsin...so the Pack can't claim that one as no site lists NCSU as his school...don't hate me, hate the fact you girlz let TOBy kick him to the curb...

...and MG is not the starter...yet...Shiano is not thrilled with MG but he is a hot head so may put him in to just PO Freeman... why is it you Red Ragers can't post accurately? One starting QB as of now...deal with it.

+ 10. Not many can boast to have three doing what they have accomplished. Glennon is going to do the job. Wilson has the talent to do what the Mannings did at this particular stage in their years in the NFL. Rivers is not where he used to be. Still one of the great ones. He has slipped.

Rivers has yet to play but here are the stats for the other two State grads today...

    Glennon - 273 yards, 2 TDs, 1 INT, QB Rating 84.7
Wilson - 257 yards passing, 61 yards rushing, QB Rating 98.5

    And just for comparisons sake

    TJ Yates - 98 yards, 0 TD, 2 INTs, QB Rating - 45.3

that's more like it hanz, agreeing with the unc fans, although you should not give up so easily(unless that was part of the covert heel agreement)...you are correct, in that it IS too early to be making that claim, since we aren't even halfway thru the season...I looked up one position, wide receiver...and got this, Jerricho Cotchery: 248 yards rec, 16.5 ypc, 2 tds, 49.6 ypg....Gio: 201 yds rec, 10.1 ypc, 2 tds, 33.5 ypg......looks like the(current) edge at the receiver position, vs Gio, goes to NCSU)...see hanz, it doesn't take much, as I looked up one former NCSU player, and he already has proven that kay-doh! still has much to learn

Man, Cotchery sux. You're comparing the receiving stats of a running back to the receiving stats of a receiver? Seriously? Why don't you compare their shoestring length while you're at it. Maybe State will win that one, too, and we can start looking at banner designs.
