You are the one that wont give his n&%ts back. Typical state fan just likes wins, and can care less about playoff wins, and BCS bowls, and a ACC championship!! ENY??? LOL!! I envy QB's that do it in the playoffs, Montana, Bradshaw, Aikman, E. Manning, Brady, Ben, Elway. You have a regular season QB.

8 touchdowns, 9 picks, QBR 79.2, 3-4 record. Great playoffs stats. So called great players step up in the playoffs. Four toilet bowl wins, and 4th is the best he could finish in the pathetic ACC.

I'd be embarrassed to be that envious of ONE person.

thus, I'm embarrassed for you, tinytoddler.

tFACT is, Rivers has brought San Diego FAR MORE to cheer about, than anything they've had since Danny Fouts hung up his jersey.... and FAR MORE WINS than losses.

First in offense, 7th in defense. Pretty good on both sides. Hey STAT boy what was Rivers playoff numbers? Guess its because of him when they win, and because of the team when they lose?

What was his record as OC at dallas chump? Aikman didnt have a problem with him. Who led the league in turnovers the last 3 year Junior? 114-122. How many losses were when Rivers was QB? Troy said thanks for the INT!! Forgot all you care about is STATS. Sorry except for turnovers! Give Rivers his s*%k back!

  • Dr. Pwnt Oct 17, 2013

The offense was never really the problem, it was the defense that never seemed to carry it's weight. Rivers clearly should have played harder on defense, way too many missed tackles for a QB.

    2006 - Offense (1) Defense (7)
    2007 - Offense (5) Defense (5)
    2008 - Offense (2) Defense (15)
    2009 - Offense (4) Defense (11)
    2010 - Offense (2) Defense (10)
    2011 - Offense (5) Defense (22)

Rivers has alot of STATS in college, and in the NFL, but in the playoffs they are that good. Good teams around him in college, and the NFL. His problem is that he wants to do it himself. LT even said he doesnt want to listen. He had one of the best OC in the game(Norv Turner), and still lead the league in tournovers over the last 3 years. Troy Aikman sure listened to Norv. I remember his own Charger fans booing him off the field, and him yelling at 60 thousand to shut the F&%k up (Catholic). LOL! Again for the playoffs aganist Ben I think Ben knocked him out twice. Oh yeah Troy Polamalu says thanks for the INT that sealed it in the AFC championship game. GO Pack!

In 2011, he was named one of three finalists for the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award for his work with the Rivers of Hope Foundation, an endeavor he and his wife oversaw from 2010-12 to help abandoned and orphaned children. The Foundation raised more than $1,000,000 for the cause through football camps, a 5K Fun Run and personal contributions from Rivers. The Foundation also supported the San Pasqual Academy, a residential education campus designed specifically for foster teens.

    http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/eye-on-football/24092887/nfl-mvp-projection-philip-rivers-and-lesean-mccoy-are-on-the-list

Rivers played college football at North Carolina State University. Rivers' career passer rating of 95.3 is fifth-best all-time among NFL quarterbacks with at least 1,500 passing attempts.[1] Known for his durability, he set a NCAA record with 51 consecutive starts,[2] and is ranked 4th all-time in consecutive starts by a quarterback in NFL history.

During his collegiate career, Rivers shattered almost every NC State and Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) passing record. His career culminated with an NCAA record 51st consecutive college start.[13] The Wolfpack went to four consecutive bowl games under the leadership of Rivers, winning three of them, including a New Year's Day victory over Notre Dame in the 2003 Gator Bowl. Rivers finished his career at NC State with 13,484 passing yards, 4th all-time among Division 1-A quarterbacks (he was 2nd at the end of his collegiate career). He also threw 95 touchdown passes, which ties him for eighth all-time with Kliff Kingsbury and Brady Quinn. Rivers' number was retired before his final home game at North Carolina State.

Rivers is the NFL's #3 rated QB out of 42 rated QBs. Only Brees and P. Manning have higher ratings. Rivers is #2 in TD passes only trailing Peyton. He also has the 2nd highest completion percentage @ 72.6% and #3 in passing yards.

Well, the knock on Rivers was that he always chokes in the red zone, something he did nothing to dispel last night with the Chargers having to settle for 4 FG's.

    2nd Q
    1st and 9 at IND 9
    Run for 3yds
    Run for -1yds
    Rivers pass incomplete
    FG

    3rd Q
1st and 10 at IND 17 Run for 3yds Rivers pass for -1yds Rivers pass incomplete FG

4th Q 1st and 10 at IND 18 Run for -1yds Rivers pass for 4yds Rivers sacked FG
