Rivers played college football at North Carolina State University. Rivers' career passer rating of 95.3 is fifth-best all-time among NFL quarterbacks with at least 1,500 passing attempts.[1] Known for his durability, he set a NCAA record with 51 consecutive starts,[2] and is ranked 4th all-time in consecutive starts by a quarterback in NFL history.

During his collegiate career, Rivers shattered almost every NC State and Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) passing record. His career culminated with an NCAA record 51st consecutive college start.[13] The Wolfpack went to four consecutive bowl games under the leadership of Rivers, winning three of them, including a New Year's Day victory over Notre Dame in the 2003 Gator Bowl. Rivers finished his career at NC State with 13,484 passing yards, 4th all-time among Division 1-A quarterbacks (he was 2nd at the end of his collegiate career). He also threw 95 touchdown passes, which ties him for eighth all-time with Kliff Kingsbury and Brady Quinn. Rivers' number was retired before his final home game at North Carolina State.

Roethlisberger did it twice. Manning did it twice. Rivers, not so much.

Dan Marino, not so much. Dan Fouts, not so much. Frank Tarkenton, not so much. Warren Moon, not so much. Sammy Baugh, not so much. You get the idea..

Yep - which he has failed to lead his TEAM to despite having many good TEAMS. Sorry, but he is known as a choker among NFL fans. Never liked the dude even when he was at State. Trash talking punk who has never won a thing. Roethlisberger did it twice. Manning did it twice. Rivers, not so much.

Rivers is the NFL's #3 rated QB out of 42 rated QBs. Only Brees and P. Manning have higher ratings. Rivers is #2 in TD passes only trailing Peyton. He also has the 2nd highest completion percentage @ 72.6% and #3 in passing yards.
