NFL Films guy really? EJ Manuel?

I guess playing with inferior teammates at NC State didn't allow all of Glennon's abilities to come through - wonder how many other players at State are stuck in the muck? Glennon's dad was right about State

"I doubt he will start next week"

    LOLOLOLOLOLOL

Sporty, your predictions are like UNC's free throws - few and far between.

It's now week 12 and Glennon is STILL starting. Here's a little something extra for you to chew on over the weekend...

"I think they (the Bucs) are getting really quality quarterback play from Mike Glennon, who is without question the best rookie quarterback in this class." - Greg Cosell, NFL Films

Having 3 starting in the NFL is very impressive. I hope Glennon can have one of all-time best games. If he does he could keep this job from now on.

I don't get it either, tommy. Rivalry is one thing, but once they graduate, why not pull for a former ACC player?

If we could get Rivers, Glennon and Russell to all come back to Raleigh for a weekend visit, you dang tootin' we should put 'em on a float and have a parade!

  • Deman Sep 27, 2013

    LOL

You are correct...that is crazy! NC State has turned into such a QB factory that one of the best QBs in the NFL right now was "kicked to the curb" to make room for ANOTHER QB that is now a starter in the NFL.

Perhaps a parade is in order? Afterall...NC State does have three former QBs starting in the NFL now!

    LOL

And we kicked to the curb (if you agree with sportnutz' assessment of all that) one of the best quarterbacks currently in the NFL. Think about THAT for a minute!

LOL...PSSSST...THREE (3) former NC State QBs will be starting in the NFL as of this weekend. That just has to sting, doesn't it?

And, for the time being, the State obsessed UNC-CH fans will have to accept that Russell was replaced at State by a STARTING NFL QB. :-)

LOL...so if Glennon is a "replacement" and not a starter because the coach yanked the plug on Freeman and named Glennon the starter for the rest of the year, what exactly does that make TJ considering he didn't get to start until the top TWO QBS on his team got hurt?

no doubt, and the ridiculous statement that he wouldn't be drafted if he stayed at NCSU is another angry, knee-gerk reaction...there are about 20-sum former NCSU players in the nfl, INCLUDING 2 qb's....keep getting riled up, and give us some more cry-baby good ones!

Thanks for taking my call. I'll hang up and listen...

The funny thing is how angry this makes you guys! We're loving it! The fact that you're hating it makes it DOUBLY good for us!

Who cares what you or ESPN thinks. Russell Wilson played at NCSU, before being told that he wouldn't have an opportunity to start. He then transferred to Wisconsin, started and was DRAFTED out of there. On draft night, NCSU wasn't even mentioned; Wisconsin was. That he was an NCSU graduate has nothing to do with this. However, he FINISHED his COLLEGE CAREER at WISCONSIN; the school he LAST played for. If he had stayed at NCSU, he may not have been drafted at all. Wisconsin was the school that ultimately showcased his talents on the national stage; not NCSU.

Glennon is a replacement; Freeman started the season! Starting actual games will be a lot different than preseason. And this time it will be against first team competition.

I agree with TB from WF. I like to see all the guys do good at the next level unless they were just not someone I liked, (site would not let me use the je_k word) on the team I root for or not. I am a Carolina fan but I hope Glennon and Wilson do great. Never been a big Rivers fan but it's not like I get excited if he has a bd game. I guess the older i get the more I mellow out with a lot of the hate..Just me..

Expect Glennon to throw for 350-400 yards versus Arizona with an interception or two thrown in.

It should be the first win of the year for Tampa Bay.

Congrats to Glennon. Hope he does well. I don't understand why some people put down ANYONE from the ACC playing/not playing in the NFL. The more ex-ACC players get PT in the NFL, the better it makes the conference look. The better the conference looks, the more likely ALL the teams can improve their recruiting. THAT helps ALL OF US.

Yep. It's NPD or MS...see below

    Malignant Stupidity:
A disease marked by a level of lack of intelligence and common sense so deep, so aberrant, so impossibly incurable by any means whatsoever (conventional or otherwise) eventually leading the afflicted individual to perform some act ensuring demise and subsequent enormous amounts of ridicule by society at large for decades to come.

In cases where only the malignantly stupid subject him/herself falls victim to an act leading to self-extinction, nomination for a Darwin Award is in order, having removed themselves as potential polluters of the gene pool and propagation of malignant stupidity in future generations.

I do believe I have nailed the diagnosis for the majority of the ewenics who insist on hanging out on our board:

Narcissistic Personality Disorder is characterized by a long-standing pattern of grandiosity (either in fantasy or actual behavior), an overwhelming need for admiration, and usually a complete lack of empathy toward others. People with this disorder often believe they are of primary importance in everybody's life or to anyone they meet. While this pattern of behavior may be appropriate for a king in 16th Century England, it is generally considered inappropriate for most ordinary people today.

Giraffe will make 2 for this week, I doubt he will start next week.
Wilson was drafted out of Wisconsin not NC State, the NC State coach told Wilson to hit the road and many State fans agreed with him. Phyllis Rivers currently has a losing record.
