You called someone out, despite sharing the same opinion, and didn't expect a response? That's on you, son.
The Hans Oct 16, 11:41 a.m.
See what I mean? SMH.
Dr. Pwnt Oct 16, 11:35 a.m.
You mean like when I said "the defense wasn't the main reason State lost"? How does it feel to share the opinion of a "fringer"?
The Hans Oct 16, 11:26 a.m.
Could we agree maybe that both the offense AND defense weren't very good and both were responsible for the loss? I know you guys have a need to argue about every little thing possible, especially you fringers, but it seems that way to me.

To add, over the past year and a half FBS teams are a combined 6-210 when scoring 10 points or less. 6-210. Statistically speaking, that gave State a just 2.8% chance of pulling out a win with the offense performing as it was.

...or giving up almost 20 yards a pop on the ground in the deciding quarter.
(To be specific, Gulley ran for the 18-yard go-ahead score with 6:13 left. Hunt added a rushing score to make it a two-possession game with 2:39 left.)
No rushing _ in _oeren's _efense when it mattered the most.

And conversely, the offense was horrendous (scoring a field goal or less) in 3 of the 4 quarters.
Even with the amount of yards State gave up, they could have easily won the game had the offense executed like it was supposed to. You simply won't win many games only scoring 10 points.

Back to the op's topic...his team was really awful:
FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - With the final seconds ticking off the clock, Shaw University's Darnell Evans strode down the sideline, slapping hands with each of his teammates, tears in his eyes. Seconds before, Evans had picked off his third pass of the afternoon and returned it for a touchdown to cement a Shaw comeback, giving the Bears a 44-34 win over Fayetteville State Saturday at Jeralds Stadium on the FSU campus.
The Bears, who improve to 3-3 on the season and pick up their first win - against two losses - in the CIAA, trailed 31-12 with 11:37 left in the third quarter, but outscored the Broncos 32-3 to close out the game - propelled in large part by Evans' play.

That horrendous defensive span in the 4th quarter says otherwise, puntster.

Oh, it pains me to admit it but:
We would have to get better to just be awfuller than State!
