but despite the fact the Bucs can't win, he is having a very solid start to his NFL career.

There is a good chance if he doesn't throw an interception in his next game that he will break Sam Bradford's NFL record for a rookie for passes without an interceptions (169 for Bradford, Glennon is now at 117 straight).

His QB rating has improved each week and he is one of the few QB's that have come out of the gate attempting the number of passes he has.

Bradford also holds the rookie record for most TD's in his first 8 games with 11. Glennon has 6 in his first 4 games.

MG has already had at least 3 INTs. BTW, I'm pulling for MG & I'm a NCSU fan.

Interception rate aside, he's obviously the best thing Tampa Bay has, and he's a starting NFL QB in his rookie season, not too many rooks have done that.

Let me see if I can break this down for you...

He never said Glennon hasn't thrown any interceptions. What he said was if he doesn't throw an interception in his next game he'll likely break the record for a rookie for passes without an interception. Notice the difference.

To compare, Sam Bradford threw 3 INT's in his first start. His streak of 169 passes without an interception didn't begin until the 4th quarter of game 5 against Detroit and ended in the 4th quarter of game 10 against the Falcons.

    http://www.nfl.com/player/sambradford/497095/gamelogs?season=2010

    Start of Streak - http://espn.go.com/nfl/playbyplay?gameId=301010008&period=4
    End of Streak - http://espn.go.com/nfl/playbyplay?gameId=301121014&period=4

Glennon, on the other hand, hasn't thrown a pick since the beginning of the 3rd quarter of the Eagles game 3 weeks ago. Since then, he has thrown 117 passes without an interception.

    Start of Streak - http://espn.go.com/nfl/playbyplay?gameId=331013027&period=3
    End of Streak - TBD

    Good day, sir.

Hmmm you are correct for one time dwerk:

Courtesy of ESPN: Glennon completed 30 of a career-high 51 passes. He has thrown 181 times this season, a record for a quarterback in the first four games of a career. So with a pitiful team surrounding him he's the only weapon they have to turn to. and once again liar there is no mention of garbage time, will you ever learn that just because you type it repeatedly does not make it true..........?

So yes a very prolific start...........next attempt....?

It takes more than one player to win a game. Although the QB is important in leading the team, the other players have to step up and do something with the football once it is out of the QB's hands and into theirs. No matter how much improved an offense may become, games are lost by the defense. Last time I checked, Glennon doesn't play defense.

  • FAN72 Oct 25, 2013

Glennon is making good money and starting for an NFL team. That in itself is an accomplishment not enjoyed by many. That he is not on a winning team this season and is still struggling to find team members who can catch the ball is not an indictment. Don't believe me? Ask Eli Manning.

Just quoting ESPN my friend. Do not shoot the messenger. Sounds like MG is avg a whopping 14 points sper game along with 3 interceptions which has set up several TDs to offset his 6. 14 points per game with 3 interceptions? You're intertwining game stats with season stats, my friend.

As I previously posted, he's average 16.5 points per game as a rookie (not 14, as you incorrectly stated).

Secondly, Glennon is one of only 5 QBs in the NFL with 3 INTs or less with 175+ passing attempts. Of those INTs, only ONE can be attributed to setting up the other team to score. Ironically, Peyton Manning has that exact stat line (3 INTs, 1 INT inside his own territory).

"Those are the facts dude so accept them."

And if you would, go ahead and link that ESPN page that has the "garbage time" quote because it's definitely not on this page (yet another lie).

All the naysayers can't even look at the hard cold STATS and figure anything out. Proof is in the numbers so to speak.

As far as the 0 for... start, he did this with Martin out the last game, rushing from like 16 yards in one of the other games (sorry, if you want to verify look it up yourself but I won't argue whether I am off a couple of yards or not) is not that bad considering UNC's current starter that is ALL WORLD can't pull out anything better than what he has with the DEFENDING COASTAL CONFERENCE CHAMPS! Yule Brenner must really be having a bad year!

I agree that Glennon is having a very good start to his NFL career, especially when you consider he got thrown into the fire without much time to learn the playbook and adjust to the NFL. He's also playing on a bad team with a key receiver out with an injury. Glennon is a smart, hard working guy, and I think he'll have a solid career in the NFL.
