It's true. He was bragging about beating Fla. State the second half last night on his t.v. show. He was talking about how if not for turnovers in the first quarter, they could have won. LOL

Well he has caught delusionalitis - not uncommon in Raleigh

when I checked the box score, its shows NCSU scoring 17, and fsu scoring 7, in the second half...so, they did win the second half, and didn't give up 55 points, LOL!

I suppose State can be happy that they beat the second and third string.

I guess State is better than FSU's third string.

    Sad.

  • larrys080returns Oct 28, 2013

The sad part is that State fans actually believe this. Jimbo pulled the starters so early that they barely had time to get off the bus. Wow!!!

the second string for fsu could prolly start for NCSU or unc...and what strategy would you take if you are down 42-0 at the half?..would you not come out and play the second half? would you take your players and leave before the game is over, or would you go out and try to win the remaining quarters?..what would you do?

He should say "We got our butts whipped and we have a lot to work on, a lot. We can't allow this one lost to turn into two. I am not going to beat around the bush - I am embarrassed at the performance we gave today. We will practice and get better. We have now seen what a top rated program looks like. We will stew over this for a few hours and then get ready for North Carolina"

I would not say " We won the 2nd half"

you didn't answer the question, would you come out for the second half, or quit playing?..all the other stuff is obvious, but doesn't address the fact that you have to play another half before moving on

Did their bus not arrive until the third quarter? Because that is when their QUARTERBACK was taken out. He played one series in the 3rd quarter.

As I posted last week prior to the game, I thought it would be a sad state of affairs if FSU beat State by less than 30 points and State tried to claim a moral victory. Its even worse, they got beat by more than 30 points and are still claiming "moral victory." They lost. They got crushed. They are horrible.

Now its on to the "Who's more horrible" bowl this weekend!

he was taken out after a pick, caused by a jarring hit from the NCSU safety...winning the second half against fsu was crucial to getting the right mindset to beat the heels this Saturday...it was important for Mitchell to get reps in live action, and he now is ready to exploit the heels weak defense

you have to come out for the 2nd half, what kind of question is that?
The issue is that somehow beating a team in the 2nd half - with their starters on the sideline telling knock knock jokes and with the game being already decided for some time is a positive thing for the delusional posse - anything that happened after the score was 35-0 was as useful as the intra squad scrimmages in the spring.

Understand that this is the same fan base that bragged about States starters out scoring Carolinas walk-ons in the last 2 minutes of the curbstomping that took place in Chapel Hill on the hardwoods this past season. You just can't make this stuff up!!!

    Yawn...

    - for every play that has been executed against the wolpfack defense, they give up more yardage than the Tar Heels defense has per play

    - when it comes to strength of schedule...to date, Western Blvd U hangs on UNC pantleg

carry on, duhhhhhhhhhh (but do remember that the wolpfack can not avoid Nov. 2nd).

It will be a close game, neither team is that good and this is State's super bowl every year - TOB kept his job because of his 5-0 start against UNC imho. Doeren understands the importance of the game to the fan base in Raleigh it is his chance to get a mulligan for this year.

This isn't Carolina's superbowl? (Everyone reading this already knows it is, I just want to see if you can state the truth or not...)

TOB kept his job because he built up the program and was winning games and going to bowls. He couldn't recruit and the program went downhill. If you think TOB was fired for losing ONE TIME the your Holes, you have lost your mind. We loved his success against the Holes. We did not love his distaste for recruiting which led the program downhill. We're losing now because he left the cupboard bare.

But you keep on believing whatever you have to believe in order to sleep at night. I've heard arrogant people with superiority complexes find it hard to sleep at night unless they are able to convince themselves they remain superior. And it's getting harder and harder for you to do that...

    he-he-he-he-he!!!!!!!!!!!

there is a reason why Syracuse averaged almost 20 yards per carry in the 4th quarter against the wolpfack...they are last in the conference in rushing yards per carry.

and here's the stat that'll really grab your attention...@ 95.24%, opponents convert in the redzone vs the wolpfack at a higher % than any team in the league -- WITH A TD CONVERSION % of a WHOPPING 85.71%, by far, the worst in the ACC by 20%.

Saturday is gonna be fun for nobody but the Tar Heels.

    lolololol.

the duhhhnobody keeps mentioning FSU and Clemson.

both defeated the wolpack handily and both had their way against the wolpfack pass defense...tallying an average of almost 300 yards and 3 TDs each via the air.

guess who sits just behind FSU and Clemson @ #3 in the league in passing yards per game...

UNC (who will have an enjoyable time at Carter Funky Stadium this Saturday).

Yeah, but you guys haven't seen a QB the likes of Brandon "All World" Mitchell yet. You can score as many points as you want, the Pack offense will still light you up like a Christmas tree as they've shown so many times this season. Name me one other team that kicked FSU's rump in the 2nd half this season!
