Doeren names Brisett starter, before the first bowl game is played
Ken D. Dec 10, 2:29 p.m.
Brissett has had an entire year competing against Pete Thomas and his backups. He has apparently demonstrated to the Wolfpack coaching staff that he gives them the best chance to win next year. So, going into spring practice, he will be the one getting the most reps. Coaches and teams have been doing this for as long as I can remember. The only way anyone can see this as a criticism of the coaches is if the glasses you wear are tinted with another school's colors.

Excellent observation, Ken...
TOBy should have done the same when faced with the Wilson/Turkey Neck situation.
I.E., let Turkey Neck cut and run (because he was afraid of competing) and have a viable understudy learn from Wilson (what better mentor could you ask for on and off the field???).

^^^he did. He named MG his starter, based on what he'd seen that spring/summer.
And, well... One particular fella didn't like being tabbed as "2nd string".
Facts are wonderful!

seems like you have been sucked into the black hole. If you think competing in practice equates game play, well then...nevermind. In either case coaches usually know who the "favorite" is going into spring practice - Doeren's comments are desperate to keep the lunatic fringe engaged

^^^^and, you've NEVER been a good poster, so nothing's changed.
