How embarassing for us that our fellow fan Harr has begun the "star recruiting" already. Wonder which one is really suppoesed to take us to the championships? With Harr it usually is every one of them and then none succeed!

His 'convert on 4th-down deep in own territory' stats are rather impressive.

Scoring every 2.8 touches is quite the stat line, I hope he makes a good transition to the college level. It'll be interesting to see how we use him next year.

I'd be more worried if the Heels picked up a QB from a 4-8 team that didn't sniff the field as QB, couldn't win the starting job at spring practice, quit his team to transfer in mid-may AND STILL has a chance to start in the fall

Another article from a few days ago. Good stuff.

“I can’t say enough about the guy,” said Hough High coach Bobby Collins, who has seen a lot of Samuels on film and in person. “He’s one of the best football players in the state. He’s a guy who can line up at tight end, at running back, at quarterback, at wide receiver and he takes pride in doing all of them well. A lot of guys compare him to (former Mallard Creek star Marquez) North (now at Tennessee), but he can do a lot more things. (Samuels) can catch, run, block. He’s just an all-round football player.”

Palmieri said Samuels is a good student and a model citizen in the school’s hallways, too.

“He makes great grades,” Palmieri said. “He’s got no problems at school. He’s a leader. You can count on him to be there on Friday because he won’t do something during the week to throw us off.”

Great article on Jaylen, who just won the state championship for Mallard Creek. He scord 5 of their 8 TDs and ended the season averaging a score every 2.8 touches. Crazy.

"He finished the season with 109 carries for 1,404 yards and 39 touchdowns. How many players do you know who score every 2.8 times they get the ball playing on a high-level team against high-level competition?"
