And there's the obsession. No matter what we're talking about, it ALWAYS ends up being about UNC. ALWAYS.

It's quite simple, really. One of us has multiple degrees from NCSU, the other does not. I wonder who is who. Hmmmmm.....

LOL at fringers trying to define who and what the fringe is. State fans have unfortunately put a patent on the name "The Lunatic Fringe".

    a "Loser"??? No doubt.

also, it (said "Loser") contradicts itself with its very premise.

there are definitely some strange-thinking fans out there, the Pack has its share....but you would have to be a complete loser to focus and obsess on that small portion of the fan base, and make that your primary topic on every almost post you make, yes?

This- "lunatic fringe" =/= "large portion of your fan base"

Is there a reason why the Lunatic Fringe does this incessantly? For you fans of other team - do you have a large portion of your fan base that does this year after year after year?

For instance, remember the incredible talent the fringers were crowing on and on about during the first two years (especially the second) of the Gottfried era? Lottery picks everywhere, the best point guard in the nation, no one can guard CJ Leslie, our starting 5 can match up with anyone in the country, blah blah blah. Now when reminiscing about those teams, all we hear is how they were a bunch of "head cases" and that it was just amazing how much Gottfried was able to get out of them. smh
