Always humorous when state college ABCERs try to lecture someone else on cheating.

Always good for a belly laugh.

    Makes me grin real biglike.

SMH. The problem is not with a significantly larger percentage of student-athletes at UNC* choosing "easier" majors than their non-athlete classmates. That does happen pretty much everywhere, NCSU and Duke included. There is no issue with a large percentage of athletes choosing AFAM studies as a major, or even being "steered" toward that major.

The problem at UNC* is that they were enrolling athletes in classes that literally did not meet and required no work. A huge proportion of those athletes could not read above a middle-school level (at best), yet they were passing their courses and graduating. They were not just "easier" classes than astrophysics or inorganic chemistry; they were literally SHAM CLASSES designed purely to keep athletes eligible. That does not happen at most other universities.

It's from a reliable source. You guys never share your sources so I can play that game too.

Also, anyone care to list the majors your model student-athletes have declared?? Oh that's right, isn't it "general studies". I can't wait until somebody opens the book on that scam.

It was simply an easy major that some athletes took because they wanted a lighter course load. It's why some people major in exercise science at NCSU and not astrophysics. It's why Duke athletes choose Sociology over Biology. It happens everywhere and just because you guy want to yank some banners down will not change that fact!

go easy on him, inadvertently admitting to (any) cheating is a large step for this lame-brain, of course his view is gonna be a little skewed, his focus a little narrow.....still progress, eh?

You must be one of the few pastel pansies on this forum who actually attended UNC* because you failed to cite your source. I doubt they covered citations in Dr, Seuss 101, but in real universities you are required to show where you got your information from, otherwise it is plagiarism unless you made it up yourself (which seems likely in this case).

    Fun Fact Time!

Since you simple-minded fans like to sensationalize numbers and anything related to the UNC investigation. Anyone know the number of AFAM majors on UNC football team in 2005?

No? Well it was 7 out of 98.

    2009?

    7 out of 85.

They don't mention fun facts like this in the News & Disturber. Gotta push that narrative!
