Rising junior Albin Choi of the NC State men's golf team was named a Division I PING All-American on Wednesday, the second-straight season the Toronto, Ontario, native has been listed among the top collegiate golfers in the country.

Choi backed up his breakout freshman campaign in 2010-11 with an impressive sophomore season that solidified him as one of the best in his sport.

Choi's fourth win at the college level, and second in 2011-12, came by way of a three-shot victory at the NCAA Ann Arbor Regional, earning PING All-Region honors along the way.

His win at the regional qualified him for the NCAA Championship, and he finished tied for 37th at 5-over 218 at Riviera Country Club.

Choi was named to the 12-man All-ACC team for a second-straight season after ranking eighth in the league with a 71.76 scoring average.

With two seasons under his belt, Choi's 71.64 career scoring average is second only to former NCAA national champion Matt Hill in school history. He is also among a group of only six Wolfpack golfers to win four collegiate events.
