State's Degand struggling (again) with knee injury

N.C. State point guard Farnold Degand is continuing to struggle with a left knee injury, which is why he played only three minutes Tuesday night in the Wolfpack’s win over N.C. Central.

State plays Sunday at Virginia Tech at 1:30 p.m. That game will be shown on WRAL-TV.

Lowe told 99.9 FM The Fan on Thursday that Javi Gonzalez has played well in practice this week and might start at the Hokies. Degand started against NCCU.

Degand has played well at times but the knee injury has lingered as State’s point guard situation has been fluid all season. Lowe said Friday that Degand tweaked the knee again while running in a physical education class Tuesday before the game. Sometimes the injury responds well to rest.

Degand is expected to play Sunday in some capacity.

Degand stinks even when he is healthy. Sidney needs to keep his boys out of PE 100, that step test will kill you.

"John Wall must see how BADLY his services are needed here."

John Wall must also see how BADLY a good coach is needed here.

John Wall is not coming to State...Forget about him, and Cousins.

I am sure John Wall can see that but why would he want to play for Lowe?

RE: State's Degand struggling (again) with knee injury

everybody think Degand just recently hurt his knee He blew it out last year, and has been coming back from it all season long, and had been playing pretty well of late. Degand may have given the "ok" on the knee, and gave it a go. When he saw he wasn't effective, he rode the pines. Perfectly fine with that.

What concerns me is the revolving door of our starting lineup. You would think we would have that in place by now. How much tinkering of a rotation does a coach have to do? Javi is a turnover machine, moreso than Degand and Mays.

John Wall must see how BADLY his services are needed here.
