Johnson leads Wake past State, 85-78

James Johnson made a case for his inclusion on the All-ACC first team Thursday night, as the sophomore tallied 28 points and 18 rebounds in Wake Forest's 85-78 win over N.C. State.
The Wolfpack was led in scoring by Tracy Smith, who finished the night with 18 points on 7-11 shooting.
Ben McCauley also had a solid night in the paint for State, as the senior contributed 12 points and eight rebounds to the cause.
Ishmael Smith continued his strong play of late for the Deacons, recording 18 points on the night.
