Southeast Raleigh's Moore picks Notre Dame

RALEIGH — Kendall Moore, outside linebacker at Southeast Raleigh, made his decision public on Saturday, committing to Notre Dame.

Moore told HighSchoolOT.com last week that he had narrowed his list to N.C. State, Duke, South Carolina, Florida State and Notre Dame, in no particular order. There had been growing speculation over the course of the week that Moore was leaning toward Notre Dame or N.C. State.

Standing at 6-foot-3 and 230-pounds, Moore recorded nearly 120 tackles and six sacks last season, and he also caught seven touchdown passes as a tight end for the Bulldogs. The rising senior records a 4.58 forty yard dash time, and benches 320 pounds.

Rivals.com ranks Moore as a four star prospect and the 14th best player at his position. The recruiting Web site also named him their top 250, ranking him the No. 167 overall player in his class.

Wish him the best, but I believe he made the wrong choice (obvious bias). I don't understand how ND is still able to pick up these kids. They do not have the gusto that ND football used to, now they just have big contracts with tv networks and a poor program.

I was thinking the same thing (minus the bias - I'm a Carolina fan), but I agree with your points about ND. I really thought their coach would be canned after last year. TOB is the better coach, but I hope it works out for Moore.

Good Luck...
