Spencer back, Rieskamp, Walker, freshman Smith out for State against Wake Forest
By Ryan Craig Oct 1, 2009
There were no surprises on the N.C. State football injury report Thursday afternoon, only some good news.
Owen Spencer, who missed the team's last game against Pittsburgh with a concussion, did not appear on the report and will play Saturday.
Jeff Rieskamp, Rashard Smith and Javon Walker were listed as out for the game against the Demon Deacons.
There were no other players listed as either probable, questionable or doubtful.
Smith had recently won the starting job at the field corner position, but subsequently injured his ankle in the game against Gardner-Webb. This will be the second game in a row the true freshman has had to watch from the sidelines.

This game much closer than I thought. I still think that NCSU will pull out a tough one.

Hokie 94, I hope you're wrong. We don't need a close game. Groves Stadium has been a house of horrors for NC State in recent years.
I'm glad to see we have Spencer back. That can only help. He's a threat to score on any given play.
