One of the biggest gets of the basketball world belongs to N.C. State head coach Sidney Lowe.

University sources said Wednesday afternoon C.J. Leslie, the star forward from Raleigh's Word of God, will play next year for the Wolfpack.

Leslie chose State over offers from high-profile programs like Kentucky and UConn. He is a five-star prospect, ranked the No. 3 power forward in the country by

Leslie, 6-foot-8 and 210-pounds, is the highest-rated prospect to ever commit to N.C. State under Lowe.

He was expected to sign a letter of intent Friday or Monday, university sources said.

It was just a statement! In other words, I know there isn't any paying going on but it's just another way of me saying, CJL wants to go somewhere and make an impact. He doesn't want to go somewhere where his bed is already made for him (duke, carowhina...cough cough), that would be boring if you ask me. By no means am I saying that im 100% sure that were going to win it all next year, but you got to start somewhere! Just like TBK said it before, after what Sid's been through at NCSU, getting this class is a tremendous turn around of the program and will really put State basketball back on the map!

His Facebook page says he's coming back. He's probably not even going to work out for any teams. He just wants feedback on what his weaknesses are. It's a smart move and costs nothing (except for making me nervous for a while there!)

He'll be back, unless a miracle happens and they project him to be drafted high enough. But from what I understand, he's not projected to be in the top 100.

yea that would be nice, but don't count in Smith just yet, because according to, he just declared for the Draft today but didn't hire an agent.

Has anyone seen or heard anything on espn about Leslie committing to NC STATE? The three of them suck respectively!

The bum is that dude from Ames, Iowa. He has not played against anybody up there. I know! I lived there! Leslie, Howell, Smith, Brown, Harrow, Painter and Wood will rock!!

no he just wants to play legally, Coach Lowe doesn't pay players like some coaches we know....and besides if you wanna make a jealous excuse about his ranking, go to and ask for a job.

Glad he's coming to the Pack, but I hope he doesn't pull and one and done either! And can someone tell me why Tracy Smith just declared for the draft?!?!

Thanks C.J. Good job, Coach Lowe! GO PACK!
