CASL opens artificial turf field at Triangle Town Center & Commons

Raleigh, N.C. — Triangle Town Center and Capital Area Soccer League (CASL) opened the newest artificial turf soccer field in the area for the purpose CASL’s exclusive use last week.
The field is being used for CASL U5 and U6 Mini Kicker and U7 Future soccer teams. In addition, it is set aside for CASL in the community outreach programming, coaching education programs, U8 player development programs, and more.
Field construction was completed Aug. 17, in time for the first practice. The field occupies the outdoor space next to Champps Americana in Triangle Town Commons, with nearly 10,000 square feet of artificial turf, and is surrounded by 6-foot fencing around the perimeter.
“This exciting, revolutionary project between Triangle Town Center and CASL is on the cutting edge of youth sports,” said Michael Milazzo, CASL Chief Operating Officer. “We can’t thank the Triangle Town Center Management staff enough for their out-of-the-box thinking and their willingness to develop a small sided artificial turf soccer field.”
The relationship between the two began in 2010, when Triangle Town Center became the distribution location for CASL members to pick up their season soccer ball. In addition, the mall retailers participated by providing special discounts to CASL member with their annual Season Kicket Card, a discount card created for exclusively for CASL members, parents, staff and volunteers. rom there the relationship has grown into a true partnership.
