Bucs trade C Zuttah to Ravens

Owings Mills, MD (SportsNetwork.com) - The Baltimore Ravens acquired center Jeremy Zuttah from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in exchange for an undisclosed pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, both teams announced on Sunday.

The deal is contingent on Zuttah, a 16-game starter for the Bucs in each of the last two seasons, passing a physical.

A third-round selection of Tampa Bay in the 2008 draft, Zuttah started 76 games at three different positions for the Buccaneers over six seasons. The 27-year-old has opened 41 games at left guard, 30 at center and five at right guard during his career.

"We said at the beginning of the offseason that we would be adding quality players to our line and Jeremy fits that description," said Ravens general manager Ozzie Newsome. "We are getting a player who has started at both center and guard, and played well at each position. We're excited to have him as a Raven and believe he can play a significant role for us."

Zuttah joins a Ravens team that currently has some uncertainty along the interior of the offensive line. Gino Gradkowski, the team's starting center last season, struggled while attempting to replace the retired Matt Birk, while left guard Kelechi Osemele may be moved to right tackle with Michael Oher leaving in free agency.
