NOTES:The PGA Tour travels to the Isle of Enchantment this week for the
Puerto Rico Open. The 2008 tournament was the first full-field sanctioned PGA Tour event held in Puerto Rico.

The top players in the world are in Florida at the WGC-Cadillac Championship, therefore, Brendon de Jonge (87) is the only player ranked in the top-100 of the world in Puerto Rico.

Eleven former major champions are in the field this week: Mark Brooks (1996 PGA Championship), Mark Calcavecchia (1989 British Open), Ben Curtis (2003 British Open), John Daly (1991 PGA Championship, 1995 British Open), David Duval (2001 British Open), Todd Hamilton (2004 British Open), Trevor Immelman (2008 Masters), Lee Janzen (1993 and 1998 U.S. Open), Shaun Micheel (2003 PGA Championship), David Toms (2001 PGA Championship) and Y.E. Yang (2009 PGA Championship).

Four Puerto Rico residents are expected to compete -- Rafa Campos, Jeronimo Esteve, Edward Figueroa and Erick Morales. Campos is a San Juan native and a Virginia Commonwealth graduate. His T-29 finish last year is the best by a Puerto Rican player at this event.

Trump International Golf Club, designed by Tom Kite, is the only 36-hole golf facility in Puerto Rico where you can play in the Mountains, play along the Ocean, play in the Palms and play among the Lakes. It's also the only golf course in Puerto Rico with white silica sand bunkers. Relax in the clubhouse, one of the largest in the Caribbean, and enjoy views of both the Ocean and the El Yunque Rainforest. Trump International was originally called Coco Beach Golf & Country Club. A portion of all four nines will be used to make up a composite layout this week.

Last year, Chesson Hadley carded rounds of 68-65-67-67 to earn a 2-stroke victory over Danny Lee. Hadley earned his first career win on the PGA Tour at 21-under-par 267. The tour rookie had missed the cut in six of his 10 previous starts in 2014 prior to this event. Hadley went onto win the 2014 PGA Tour Rookie of the Year Award. Hadley's total of 21-under 267 broke Scott Brown's (2013) tournament record by one shot.

In 2013, Fabian Gomez held a 1-stroke advantage entering the final hole, but he bogeyed the par-5 18th. His playing partner, Scott Brown, birdied for his first PGA Tour win. Brown, playing on conditional status, finished 72 holes at 20-under 268.

In 2011, Michael Bradley parred the first playoff hole to defeat Troy Matteson and win this event for the second time in three years. Bradley fired four straight rounds of 68 and finished at 16-under-par 272 with Matteson. Bradley has won a PGA Tour title in each of the last three decades.

Derek Lamely fired weekend rounds of 63-66 in 2010 to come from behind and win the rain-delayed tournament. Lamely, who won for the first time on the PGA Tour, completed the event at 19-under-par 269.

In 2009, Bradley birdied the 18th hole and shot a 2-under 70 in the final round to win his first PGA Tour title in 11 years. Bradley picked up his first win since the 1998 Doral-Ryder Open.

Greg Kraft fired rounds of 69-66-69-70 to overtake third-round leader Bo Van Pelt in 2008 and win the inaugural event. Kraft finished at 14-under-par 274 for his first official tour title. He won the 1993 Deposit Guaranty Golf Classic, but that was played opposite The Masters and not counted as an official victory.

The PGA Tour remains in Florida next week, moving to the west coast of the state for the Valspar Championship in Palm Harbor, where John Senden captured the title last year.
