Description: Titans wideout Kevin Walter (back) has been placed on the PUP list and will miss the first six games of the season.
Insight: With Nate Washington, Kenny Britt, Kendall Wright and highly-touted rookie Justin Hunter already on the roster, Walter's fantasy impact is expected to be minimal in 2013 even if he were healthy, which apparently he is not.

Description: Titans wideout Kevin Walter (back) has been placed on the active PUP list, according to Tennessee beat writer Jim Wyatt.
Insight: With Nate Washington, Kenny Britt, Kendall Wright and highly-touted rookie Justin Hunter already on the roster, Walter's fantasy impact would be minimal in 2013 even if he were healthy, which apparently he is not.

4/1/2013 8:08:00 PM
Description: Former Texans wideout Kevin Walter has agreed to a new deal with Tennessee.
Insight: With Nate Washington, Kenny Britt and Kendall Wright already on the roster, Walter's fantasy impact should be minimal in 2013.

3/12/2013 3:36:00 PM
Description: The Texans have released receiver Kevin Walter.
Insight: Walter has served as Houston's No. 2 receiver since 2006 but he has been on the decline over the past four seasons after putting up a career-high 899 yards and eight touchdowns in 2008-09. He had just 518 yards and two scores in 2012.

Description: Texans HC Gary Kubiak announced Monday that Kevin Walter's shoulder is not fractured, and he has yet to ruled out for Week 2. Source: Nick Scurfield via Twitter
Insight: The team is calling the injury a bad bruise and will be re-evaluated later on this week. It's quite the reversal from earlier prognostications of a 2-3 month injury and he should be held on to for the time being.

9/11/2011 6:39:00 PM
Description: Updating a previous item, Kevin Walter is out 10-12 weeks with a broken shoulder. Source: Pro Football Talk
Insight: Walter might even have to go on IR. Jacoby Jones is about as consistent as molasses but finds himself in the starting role opposite Andre Johnson, but the injury will definitely be a boost to Owen Daniels' fantasy value going forward. Consider Jones a borderline WR3.

11/28/2010 6:22:00 PM
Description: Texans WR Kevin Walter finished Week 12 with just one reception for 12 yards in their 20-0 win over Tennessee.
Insight: Walter has no excuse for sucking so bad and should be dropped in all league formats as he's just too inconsistent and lazy. He had two drops and Matt Schaub eventually quit targeting him.

11/15/2010 1:23:00 PM
Description: The Texans didn't go into their game against the Jaguars with the intent on getting WR Kevin Walter the ball more than usual. SOURCE: HOUSTON CHRONICLE
Insight: Walter said that rolling coverage towards Andre Johnson's side of the ball led to more room to make plays. Walter, who caught 6 balls for 90 yards and a score Sunday, had gone stat-less the last three previous games. He is not much of a fantasy option against the Jets this weekend.

10/3/2010 3:02:00 PM
Description: Walter gets a value boost with Andre Johnson ruled out for the Week 4 matchup with Oakland.
Insight: Walter set his career high in receptions back in 2007, when Johnson missed seven games because of injury. Walter was already a starter candidate after scoring in each of the first three games. (RapidDraft.com)

9/27/2010 1:05:00 AM
Description: Walter caught three passes for 34 yards on Sunday but reached paydirt for the third straight week.
Insight: Too bad he can't keep that up. If you're looking for a sell-high candidate, look no further. The only season in which Walter surpassed four touchdowns was 2008, when Andre Johnson missed half the year. (RapidDraft.com)

9/13/2010 8:04:00 PM
Description: Walter's two catches for 29 yards looked identical to Jacoby Jones' numbers on Sunday, and actually better when you factor in the touchdown. He garnered just two targets, though, compared to Jones' six.
Insight: Walter is what Bill Parcells likes to call a JAG (just a guy). Jones is the one to own in fantasy. He's less consistent but brings far more upside. (RapidDraft.com)

3/6/2010 12:01:00 PM
Description: The Texans re-signed Walter to a five year, $21.5 million contract.
Insight: Another strong weapon in the fold for Matt Schaub to throw to. If Owen Daniels comes back at full strength, he, along with Andre Johnson and Walter, will comprise what is arguably the most talented receiving group in the league. (SportsBuff.com)

3/3/2010 8:06:00 PM
Description: There have been unsubstantiated reports that the Ravens are very interested in going after Walter.
Insight: This move would make a ton of sense as Walter has shown himself to be a poor man?s Wes Welker at times.. The more go-to weapons Baltimore can surround Joe Flacco with, the better of he?ll be. (Sportsbuff.com)

3/1/2010 9:55:00 PM
Description: Beat writer John McClain (presumably not the hero from the Die Hard series) has stated that the Texans would like to retain Walter.
Insight: Sure, they would like to, but it may not be possible. Walter could be looking to test the open market (his fantasy value would be determined by where he ends up) and the Texans have some nice depth at the position behind him. (SportsBuff.com)

1/14/2010 8:55:00 AM
Description: NFL.com reports that Walter will be a free agent this off-season no matter what happens with the new CBA.
Insight: Walter had a disappointing season in 2009 with only two touchdowns after recording ten in 2008. (SportsBuff.com)

1/4/2010 8:18:00 AM
Description: Walter had two catches for 30 yards against the Patriots on Sunday.
Insight: Walter was a big disappointment this season with only 53 receptions for 611 yards and two touchdowns. (SportsBuff.com)

12/28/2009 10:02:00 PM
Description: Walter caught three passes for 21 yards on Sunday against the Dolphins on Sunday.
Insight: Walter continues to be inconsistent this season as he has failed to top 30 yards for the second time in three games. (SportsBuff.com)

12/21/2009 7:44:00 AM
Description: Walter caught four passes for 42 yards and a touchdown against the Rams on Sunday.
Insight: Walter found the endzone for the first time since Week 3. (SportsBuff.com)

12/15/2009 9:10:00 PM
Description: Walter had two catches for 17 yards against Seattle on Sunday.
Insight: Walter had an off game after going for at least 45 or more yards in four straight games. (SportsBuff.com)

12/8/2009 8:18:00 AM
Description: Walter caught four passes for 54 yard against the Jaguars on Sunday.
Insight: Walker had topped 50 yards receiving in three of his last four games. (SportsBuff.com)
