Description: Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger struggled early in the Monday night game against Houston, but finished with a solid performance - 23-of-33 for 265 yards and two scores.
Insight: Big Ben wasn't good early on, holding the ball too long, but he rebounded just before halftime in a big way.

10/13/2014 6:31:00 PM
Description: Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger completed just 50 percent of his passes for 228 yards, a touchdown and interception in the loss to the Browns on Sunday.
Insight: Big Ben was awful, along with the entire Steelers offense. This unit has talent and gains yardage, but for some reason, cannot convert in the red zone. There were several other problems as well against Cleveland. Most of the Pittsburgh yardage also came in garbage time. For anyone who still thought he was, fantasy or otherwise, Roethlisberger is officially no longer an elite quarterback.

9/28/2014 5:42:00 PM
Description: Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger completed 29-of-40 passes for 314 yards and three touchdowns against the Buccaneers on Sunday.
Insight: He was, however, sacked five times and did not seem to convert key plays at the end of the game to put Tampa Bay away. This was the most pass attempts Roethlisberger has had this year.

9/28/2014 12:02:00 PM
Description: Pittsburgh QB Ben Roethlisberger missed some practice time this week, due to a non-injury issue, but is ready to go Sunday.
Insight: Big Ben threw for his fewest yards of the season (196), but should have a better time of in against Tampa Bay and Jacksonville over the next two weeks and should be in fantasy lineups.

9/22/2014 11:32:00 AM
Description: Pittsburgh QB Ben Roethlisberger was facing a tough pass rush in Carolina, but did manage a couple of TD passes to Antonio Brown.
Insight: Big Ben threw for his fewest yards of the season (196), but should have a better time of in against Tampa Bay and Jacksonville over the next two weeks.

Hot9/7/2014 6:15:00 PM
Description: Pittsburgh QB Ben Roethlisberger went 23-of-34 for 365 yards and a touchdown against Cleveland.
Insight: Big Ben could have posted so much more after a 278-yard first half, but the Steelers forgot to bring the offense out after halftime. The Roethlisberger-to-Antonio Brown combination looks unstoppable.

8/21/2014 10:11:00 PM
Description: Pittsburgh QB Ben Roethlisberger needed into the third quarter to get the Steelers on the board in the third preseason game against Philadelphia.
Insight: He finished the night 15-for-24 for 157 1 TD and 1 INT. The Eagles defense isn't very good so this is disheartening.

8/17/2014 12:57:00 PM
Description: Pittsburgh QB Ben Roethlisberger was efficient in his time on the field in the Steelers second preseason game, throwing for 128 yards and two scores.
Insight: Big Ben hit Antonio Brown for a 76-yard touchdown pass that should have caught fantasy owners attention. He also hit young Markus Wheaton on a 16-yard strike. Don't underestimate Roethlisberger's fantasy value.

11/17/2013 5:26:00 PM
Description: Pittsburgh QB Ben Roethlisberger outdueled Matthew Stafford Sunday afternoon by throwing for 367 yards and four touchdowns.
Insight: Big Ben has thrown for 350-plus yards four times this season and reached four touchdowns twice in the last three games. However, he's also had seven games this season with just one touchdown.

9/29/2013 5:36:00 PM
Description: Pittsburgh QB Ben Roethlisberger has accumulated 789 passing yards over the last two games.
Insight: The Steelers defense has really struggled the last two weeks, forcing the offense to play catch-up. After throwing for 383 yards, one TD and one INT Sunday against the Vikings, Roethlisberger is averaging 308 passing yards per game with a 5-5 TD-INT ratio.

9/27/2013 1:50:00 PM
Description: Pittsburgh QB Ben Roethlisberger will face an injury-riddled Vikings secondary with both cornerback Chris Cook and safety Jamarca Sanford already ruled out for the game.
Insight: Roethlisberger had his most productive game of the season last week, even in defeat, posting 406 yards and two touchdowns. He could be an underrated pick against Minnesota.

6/5/2013 8:56:00 PM
Description: Pittsburgh QB Ben Roethlisberger had knee surgery on Wednesday. SOURCE: Mark Kaboly, Pittsburgh Tribune-Review
Insight: It was a minor operation to repair damage to his right meniscus. The recovery timetable is between four and six weeks so he should be fine for training camp at the end of July.

5/28/2013 1:16:00 PM
Description: Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is completely over his shoulder/rib injury from Week 10 of last year and should start the season healthy, according to Jarrett Bell of USA Today.
Insight: Roethlisberger wasn't the same player down the sretch, but should be good to go. The more serious issue is that he'll be without No. 1 receiver Mike Wallace and tight end Heath Miller is coming off an ACL injury. Big Ben still had a fine 26/8 TD-to-INT ratio, but averaged just 251.2 ypg through the air, his lowest total since 2008.

2/28/2013 8:04:00 PM
Description: Similar to what Tom Brady did for the Patriots earlier this week, Ben Roethlisberger freed up cap room for the Steelers by agreeing to restructure his contract.
Insight: Pittsburgh can use the extra money to re-sign free agent wideout Mike Wallace later this offseason. Roethlisberger racked up 26 touchdowns and 3,265 passing yards in 13 games in 2012.

12/30/2012 5:34:00 PM
Description: He didn't throw for many yards, but Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger's three touchdowns with zero turnovers Sunday against the Browns will do just fine for fantasy owners.
Insight: Roethlisberger's 26 passing touchdowns tied 2009-10 for the second-most in his career, but this season will mostly be remembered for the three weeks Big Ben missed due to injuries, causing Pittsburgh's offense to shut down.

12/23/2012 5:46:00 PM
Description: Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger was picked twice Sunday against the Bengals, which basically canceled out his 220 yards and one touchdown.
Insight: Roethlisberger missed three games with injuries from Week 11-13 but returned to throw for 624 yards and five scores over the last two games.

12/9/2012 7:33:00 PM
Description: Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger returned to the lineup Sunday against the Chargers and threw for 285 yards and three scores with two turnovers.
Insight: Roethlisberger was on the sidelines for about a month while recovering from rib and shoulder injuries suffered during a Week 9 win over Kansas City. His presence immediately gives Pittsburgh's receivers fantasy value again.

12/6/2012 9:35:00 PM
Description: Head coach Mike Tomlin has officially announced that Ben Roethlisberger will be the team's starting quarterback for Sunday's game against the Chargers.
Insight: Roethlisberger was on the sidelines for about a month while recovering from rib and shoulder injuries suffered during a Week 9 win over Kansas City. Charlie Batch will head mercifully back to the bench as Big Ben gets set to take on San Diego's 21st ranked pass defense.

12/5/2012 4:37:00 PM
Description: Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger (shoulder, ribs) made all the throws in Wednesday's practice according to coach Mike Tomlin and is expected to start in Week 14.
Insight: We will know more when we see how his body rebounds for Thursday, but it's looking good for him to play Sunday. The return of Big Ben would also signal to fantasy owners that Mike Wallace, Antonio Brown and Heath Miller could be viable fantasy receivers.

12/4/2012 11:47:00 AM
Description: Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger (shoulder, ribs) is expected to start in Week 14, according to Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
Insight: We will know more when we see him on the field at Wednesday's first practice of the week. The return of Big Ben would also signal to fantasy owners that Mike Wallace, Antonio Brown and Heath Miller could be viable fantasy receivers.
