Description: Retired three-time Pro Bowl cornerback Antoine Winfield might be of interest to the suddenly short-handed secondary of the Seattle Seahawks, according to Ian Rapoport.
Insight: With Brandon Browner injured and Walt Thurmond suspended the Seahawks could use depth at the position and Winfield could be of value. Joining the 10-1 Seattle roster might give him a shot at a championship ring.

4/13/2013 2:55:00 PM
Description: Three-time Pro Bowl cornerback Antoine Winfield has agreed to a deal to play with the Seattle Seahawks for next season.
Insight: The combination of Winfield, Richard Sherman and Brandon Browner is going to make it extremely tough for fantasy receivers in 2013-14. Factor this into any receiver you draft from the NFC West.

1/4/2013 3:18:00 PM
Description: Minnesota Vikings cornerback Antoine Winfield, who was a no-show for Wednesday and Thursday's practice, was a limited participant on Friday and is questionable for Saturday's NFC playoff game against Green Bay. He's dealing with pain and swelling in a fractured hand.
Insight: Facing Aaron Rodgers and the Packers' talented receivers without Winfield would not be good for the Vikings' defense. If he can't go, the value of Rodgers and his receivers must be raised.

1/3/2013 2:55:00 PM
Description: Minnesota Vikings cornerback Antoine Winfield was a no-show at practice for a second consecutive day, but he is still considered probable for Saturday's NFC Wild Card Playoff against Green Bay. He's dealing with pain and swelling in a fractured hand.
Insight: Facing Aaron Rodgers and the Packers' talented receivers without Winfield would not be good for the Vikings' defense. If he can't go, the value of Rodgers and his receivers must be raised.

Description: The Minnesota Vikings continued to gather information late Wednesday night on cornerback Antoine Winfield's neck injury, which could keep the veteran out of Sunday's game against Arizona. SOURCE: ESPN 1500
Insight: Winfield underwent an MRI on Wednesday, and the Pioneer Press reported he is expected to miss at least one game as a precaution. Two NFL sources told 1500ESPN.com on Wednesday night the Vikings had made no decision but hoped to know more about the nature and severity of the injury within the next day or two.

2/11/2010 11:32:00 PM
Description: The St. Paul Pioneer Press reports that Winfield (right foot) visited a specialist and will not need surgery on his foot.
Insight: Winfield missed six games after originally injuring the foot, and was hampered by it after returning. He is expected to be ready for training camp. (SportsBuff.com)

1/28/2010 1:39:00 AM
Description: According to the Minneapolis Star Tribune, Winfield (right foot) will see a foot specialist about his lingering right foot issues within two weeks.
Insight: Winfield's destination is reportedly North Carolina and Dr. Robert Anderson, who has dealt with Carolina's Jonathan Stewart and others. (SportsBuff.com)

1/21/2010 4:31:00 PM
Description: According to Judd Zulgad of the Minneapolis Star Tribune, via Twitter, Winfield (right foot) confirmed he will be limited to nickel and short yardage situations again this Sunday against New Orleans.
Insight: Since the Saints use a lot of three-receiver sets, Winfield will see a lot of playing time this week. (SportsBuff.com)

1/19/2010 1:26:00 PM
Description: Pro Football Talk.com reports Winfield (right foot) has been added to the NFC Pro Bowl roster, replacing Arizona CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie (left leg/knee).
Insight: Winfield missed six games with a right foot injury and struggled upon his return to the lineup, so this selection is based largely on reputation. If the Vikings reach the Super Bowl, he will not be playing in the Pro Bowl anyway. (SportsBuff.com)

1/18/2010 10:51:00 AM
Description: Winfield (right foot) was used only in nickel and short-yardage situations on Sunday against Dallas.
Insight: Benny Sapp continues to start in Winfield's place at LCB and be fairly effective, but the Saints will provide a tougher challenge next week. (SportsBuff.com)

1/13/2010 7:30:00 PM
Description: Judd Zulgad of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports, via Twitter, that Vikings' head coach Brad Childress said Winfield (right foot) will play his normal LCB spot along with some slot corner against Dallas on Sunday.
Insight: Winfield aggravated the foot injury that caused him to miss time this season late in the season, and really struggled in coverage. It is unknown at this point if he will start against Dallas. Benny Sapp may see significant action. (SportsBuff.com)

12/30/2009 10:11:00 AM
Description: According to the St. Paul Pioneer Press, Winfield (right foot) said he will continue to play despite the fact he is not 100%.
Insight: Winfield has been burned consistently over the past two games, so this may not be a good idea. He has said the foot won't be fully healed until the offseason when he can rest it. But it may be a wiser move to sit out Week 17 against the Giants in order to be closer to 100% for the playoffs. (SportsBuff.com)

12/29/2009 10:46:00 AM
Description: According to the St. Paul Pioneer Press, Winfield (right foot) admitted he suffered a setback with his foot injury in Week 14 against Cincinnati.
Insight: Winfield missed six games earlier in the season with this issue, and has looked slow the last two games as he has been continually burned. His status for Week 17 against the Giants is unknown. (SportsBuff.com)

12/14/2009 12:22:00 PM
Description: Winfield (right foot) returned to action on Sunday against Cincinnati, and had nine tackles and a forced fumble in the Vikings' 30-10 win.
Insight: Winfield had been out since Week 6, and his presence definitely improves an already solid Minnesota defense. (SportsBuff.com)

12/3/2009 2:40:00 PM
Description: According to Sean Jensen of the St. Paul Pioneer Press, via Twitter, Winfield (right foot) did have a setback last week.
Insight: Winfield originally hurt himself in Week 6 against Baltimore and has not played since. The Vikings are taking the cautious route with him, and it's unclear how last week's setback will affect his status for Week 13 and beyond. (SportsBuff.com)

Out11/13/2009 10:55:00 AM
Description: NFL Network's Jason LaCanfora reported that Winfield (right foot) will not play on Sunday against Detroit.
Insight: An extra week of rest seems like a good move, as the Vikings aren't likely to need Winfield to beat the lowly Lions. Friday's official injury report will tell us more. (SportsBuff.com)

Description: According to the Minneapolis Star Tribune, Winfield (right foot) practiced on a limited basis on Wednesday, and is still considered questionable for Sunday's game against Detroit.
Insight: The Vikings may choose to rest Winfield for one more week since they can probably beat the lowly Lions without him. (SportsBuff.com)

Questionable11/10/2009 10:35:00 AM
Description: According to multiple sources, Winfield (right foot) returned to practice on a limited basis on Monday.
Insight: This is a good sign for Winfield's availability for this Sunday's game against Detroit, but he still has to be considered questionable at this point. (SportsBuff.com)

Out10/30/2009 4:18:00 PM
Description: According to Sean Jensen of the St. Paul Pioneer Press, via Twitter, Winfield (right foot) is out for Sunday's game against Green Bay.

Description: According to the Minneapolis Star Tribune, Winfield (right foot) is not likely to return to action until after the Vikings' Week 9 bye.
