Description: Falcons running back Jacquizz Rodgers has all but disappeared with the emergence of Antone Smith.
Insight: Smith is doing what Rodgers hasn't been able to do over the past three season, give the Falcons backfield an explosive weapon who can score from anywhere on the field.

Description: Falcons running back Jacquizz Rodgers is dealing with a concussion and did not practice on Wednesday, according to the team's site.
Insight: Rodgers hasn't put up double-digits since Week 7. Not a coincidence that Steven jackson came back from injury in Week 8.

10/20/2013 5:12:00 PM
Description: Falcons running back Jacquizz Rodgers had his second straight two-TD game Sunday against Tampa Bay.
Insight: Rodgers only had eight carries for 16 yards on the ground but he caught eight passes for 46 yards and two scores. Meanwhile, Jason Snelling had seven carries and zero targets. Rodgers should be started as a RB2 until Steven Jackson, who is out indefinitely after suffering a setback with his injured hamstring this week, returns.

9/17/2013 1:30:00 PM
Description: Atlanta Falcons backup running back Jacquizz Rodgers is likely to see a massive increase in playing time with Steve Jackson expected to be sidelined for a few week.
Insight: Rodgers saw 15 touches last week in an emergency role and though he only produced 45 yards, he could be a viable low-end fantasy value for the next few weeks.

6/24/2013 2:22:00 PM
Description: Atlanta Falcons backup running back Jacquizz Rodgers is as confused as everyone else as to his role in 2013-14.
Insight: Rodgers saw plenty of time on the field last season because starter Michael Turner had very little to contribute to the passing game. This season's starter Steven Jackson has good hands (407 career receptions) so we will have to see how many opportunities Rodgers gets this season.

8/2/2012 5:03:00 PM
Description: ESPN.com NFC South beat writer Pat Yasinkas said he thinks the Atlanta Falcons have big plans for second-year pro Jacquizz Rodgers at running back.
Insight: Falcons coach Mike Smith said Rodgers has the skill set to play on all three downs. He also praised Rodgers' pass protecting ability. While it remains to be seen what value Rodgers will have in fantasy leagues, it is looking more and more like Michael Turner will have his touches slashed significantly.
