New Jersey Devils (5-7-5) at New York Rangers (9-8-0), 7 p.m.

(SportsNetwork.com) - Martin Brodeur has added two shutouts to his NHL-record total in the last week and he'll try to make it three straight white-washings when his New Jersey Devils visit the streaking New York Rangers in Tuesday's clash at Madison Square Garden.

Brodeur posted shutouts No. 122 and 123 of his career in his last two trips to the ice and is expected to get the start on Tuesday. The 41-year-old future Hall of Famer helped the Devils post a 3-0 win in Philadelphia on Tuesday and then backstopped New Jersey to a 5-0 triumph over visiting Nashville on Sunday.

Cory Schneider started the game in between Brodeur's first two shutouts of the season and took a loss in Friday's 2-1 shootout defeat in Toronto.

Brodeur stopped 22 shots in the win over the Flyers and only needed to make 15 saves to notch the victory over Nashville. The Montreal native has faced the Rangers 97 times in his career and is 47-30-5 with 15 ties and a 2.13 goals against average in this matchup.

Jaromir Jagr and Marek Zidlicky each registered a goal and an assist in Sunday's win, while Travis Zajac, Cam Janssen and Mattias Tedenby added a goal apiece for the Devils.

Janssen has two goals in three games this season after entering the 2013-14 campaign with only three tallies in the first 312 contests of his NHL career.

"Contributing on a win is a great feeling," Janssen said.

With his two-point night on Sunday, Jagr now has 1,701 career points in his stellar NHL career, putting him eighth on the league's all-time list. No. 7 on the list is Jagr's former Pittsburgh teammate Mario Lemieux, who recorded 1,723 points during his Hall of Fame career.

On Tuesday, the Devils are facing a surging Rangers club that has won three straight and six of its past seven games. New York has scored four or more goals in each of its past three games and picked up a 4-3 regulation decision in Sunday's meeting against the visiting Florida Panthers.

Brad Richards and Mats Zuccarello each scored in the third period to lead the Rangers past the Panthers. Derek Dorsett and J.T. Miller also scored for the Blueshirts, while Henrik Lundqvist made 24 saves for the win.

The victory gave the Rangers a 4-2-0 record as the host this season and New York has won four straight, five of six and seven of the past nine meetings with the Devils at MSG.

New Jersey did halt a three-game slide against the Rangers overall by notching a 4-0 home win on Oct. 19. Schneider posted the shutout in that victory for the Devils.

Lundqvist is 28-13-5 with a 1.82 GAA in 46 career games against the Devils.
