Insight: He stopped 31-of-34 shots on goal, for his third victory of the season. Rask has yet to be dominant just yet, but it is inevitable that he will carry Boston at some point this season.

Description: Bruins goalie Tuukka Rask was pulled on Thursday night against the Canadiens.
Insight: He let up five goals on 23 shots, and is off to a 2-3-0 start to the season. Owners should not be concerned, as the reigning Vezina Trophy winner is bound to get back on track.

Insight: He had 22 saves on 24 shots, but it was not enough in a 2-1 loss to Detroit. Rask is now 1-1-0, but will have every opportunity to be in the running for the Vezina Trophy.

Insight: The Bruins begin the season with back-to-back games on Wednesday and Thursday this week, but Boston will have its Vezina trophy winning goalie between the pipes for both games. Rask stopped 19-of-20 shots against the Flyers on Wednesday.

Insight: Rask allowed just one goal to the Flyers on opening night, stopping 19 shots and winning, 2-1. Rask's save percentage was .950.

Description: Bruins goalie Tuukka Rask has been awarded the Vezina Trophy as the league's best goaltender for the 2013-14 season.
Insight: Boston goalies have taken three of the last six Vezina trophies. Rask was certainly deserving of the honor, winning 36 games for the B's this year while logging an impressive 2.04 GAA. Only Minnesota's Josh Harding (.933) had a higher save percentage than Rask (.930) during the regular season.

Description: Boston goalie Tuukka Rask stopped all 33 shots for his second shutout of the postseason Thursday against Montreal.
Insight: Just another playoff masterpiece from one of the best goaltenders in hockey. The Bruins desperately needed this game and Rask is a huge reason why they were able to escape Montreal with a 2-2 series split. Game 5 will be Saturday at TD Garden.

Description: Boston goalie Tuukka Rask led the league with seven shutouts in 2013-14. He went 36-15-6 with a 2.04 GAA and a .930 SV% and should be a finalist for the Vezina Trophy.
Insight: Rask benefited from having one of the NHL's best possession teams in front of him and had to make just 1,526 saves, 14th-most in the NHL and 341 behind leader Semyon Varlamov. That may hurt him in the Vezina competition. Still, it was another excellent season for the 27-year-old.

Insight: What a performance by the 27-year-old netminder. With the win, the Bruins are now 15-0-1 in their last 16 games. They're easily in first place in the Atlantic Division (17 points ahead of Montreal) with seven games left.

Insight: Chicago is playing without Patrick Kane, but it's still a nice accomplishment for Rask, who has allowed just nine goals in his last eight games (1.10 GAA, .957 SV% in that span).

Insight: Rask led Finland to a bronze medal. He's been a workhorse for the Bruins this season going 25-13-4 with a 2.11 GAA and .928 SV%. The team may lighten his load in the second half of the season to prepare for the playoff run.

Insight: The shutout was Rask's fourth of the season. It was also Rask's fourth win in a row. You'd be hard-pressed to find a more consistent netminder in hockey than the one between Boston's pipes right now. Rask is a must-start.

Insight: He saved all 21 shots that came his way. It was a nice bounceback effort from Rask after getting pulled Saturday against Vancouver. He's having another excellent season and should be starting in all formats.

Insight: Rask dominated New York in the playoffs last season and he was at it again Tuesday night at MSG. For the season, Rask is 12-5-1 with a career-best 1.61 GAA (third-lowest in the NHL) in 18 appearances.

Insight: Rask saved 32 of 33 shots to pick up where he left off last year, when he went 19-10-5 with a 2.00 GAA, a .929 SV% and five shutouts in 36 games during the regular season and 14-8 with a 1.88 GAA, a .940 SV% and three shutouts in 22 postseason games.

Description: Tuukka Rask and the Bruins have reached terms on a mammoth eight-year contract.
Insight: ESPN's Joe McDonald says the deal is worth $56 million, which will make Rask the highest paid goalie in the NHL. Rask was decent during the regular season (19-10-5, 2.00 GAA, .929 save percentage) but he really took his game to another level in the playoffs (1.88 GAA, .940 save percentage in 22 contests). He's a top-five fantasy goalie.

Insight: He's asking for six years and $39 million. If anyone deserves that kind of dough, it's Tuukka. If Boston hadn't blown that lead late in Game 6 of the Stanley Cup, Rask would have been a favorite to win the Conn Smythe trophy as the NHL's top postseason performer. He's a legitimate superstar and the Bruins will likely pay whatever they need to in order to keep him.
