Description: The Hurricanes recalled Cam Ward from his AHL conditioning stint on Sunday.
Insight: Ward missed Carolina's last 14 games due to a lower-body injury. He has had a terrible season, going 6-7-5 with a 3.15 GAA and a .895 save percentage. The Hurricanes would be crazy to remove Anton Khudobin (12-4-0, 2.16 GAA, .927 SV%), who has gone 5-1 in his last six starts, from the net.

1/30/2014 3:52:00 PM
Description: Hurricanes goalie Cam Ward has been activated from the injured list, but sent to AHL Charlotte to work on his conditioning.
Insight: He's missed 13 games since his last game on Dec. 31. Anton Khudobin has done I good job as his replacement, winning 11 of 15 games with a 2.24 GAA and .915 SV%.

1/13/2014 10:24:00 AM
Description: Hurricanes goalie Cam Ward has missed six games due to a lower-body injury and still has no timetable for return.

1/2/2014 11:58:00 AM
Description: Hurricanes goalie Cam Ward is expected to miss Thursday's game against Washington re-agravated a groin injury.
Insight: The Carolina goalie has missed five of the last eight games. He's 6-7-5 with a 3.15 GAA and .895 SV%. With Ward, Justin Peters and Anton Khudobin on the roster there isn't a lot to recommend here.

12/20/2013 1:40:00 PM
Description: Hurricanes goalie Cam Ward will return to the lineup Friday after sitting the last two.
Insight: The Carolina goalie yielded five goals in his last start (against Edmonton) and watched as Justin Peters got the nod in Carolina's last two contests.

11/18/2013 10:24:00 PM
Description: Cam Ward returned to the lineup Monday after a ten-game absence.
Insight: The Carolina goalie had been out with a lower body injury. Though he didn't play particularly well on Monday night (29 saves on 32 shots in a loss to Boston), fantasy owners should feel relieved to have him back.

11/7/2013 11:48:00 AM
Description: Hurricanes goalie Cam Ward (injured reserve with a lower body injury) has not yet begun to skate.
Insight: It's looking like he'll be coming back more toward the upper end of the 3-4 week estimate. Justin Peters (1-5. 3.05 GAA, .902 SV%) hasn't done much with his opportunity.

10/25/2013 3:08:00 PM

Insight: Justin Peters will take his place in the starting lineup. Ward (2-2-3, 2.81 GAA, .912 save percentage) is expected to miss between three and four weeks.

10/11/2013 10:07:00 PM
Description: Hurricanes goalie Cam Ward made 36 saves on 37 shots in Friday's shootout loss to the Kings.
Insight: Ward allowed eight goals in his first two games. He has seen an average of 37 SOG in his three games this season and cannot be trusted to overcome that after putting up a 2.84 GAA in 2012-13.

3/4/2013 10:55:00 AM
Description: Hurricanes goalie Cam Ward, who left Sunday's game against the Panthers in the second period after colliding with teammate Justin Faulk, has a third-degree sprain of the medial collateral ligament (MCL) and will miss at least six weeks, according to the team's website.
Insight: No surgery will be required, but this is unfortunate timing for Ward, who has been playing better recently to improve his record to 9-6-1 with a 2.84 GAA and .908 save percentage.

2/26/2013 5:29:00 PM
Description: Hurricanes goalie Cam Ward will start between the pipes Tuesday against the Capitals.
Insight: Ward has been a mid-level netminder in years past but it just isn't working for him this year. He has a 3.16 GAA and allowed four goals in a game six times in 12 starts.

Hot2/7/2013 11:10:00 PM
Description: Hurricanes netminder Cam Ward made 45 saves in a 3-2 overtime win over Ottawa Thursday night.

2/7/2013 5:28:00 PM
Description: Hurricanes netminder Cam Ward will start a second consecutive game Thursday versus Ottawa

Description: Cam Ward will be the starting goaltender Tuesday when Carolina takes on Tampa Bay.
Insight: Ward gave up four goals in just 20 minutes in the season opener before being yanked for Dan Ellis, who allowed just one goal in 40 minutes. Ward is a No. 2 fantasy goaltender at best.

12/27/2011 4:05:00 AM
Description: Cam Ward was credited with a goal in the Hurricanes' 4-2 win over New Jersey on Monday. NHL.com
Insight: Ward was credited with the goal, since he was the last Hurricanes' player to touch the puck before Ilya Kovalchuk shot the puck to the point, but the puck instead sailed all the way into the Devils' open net at the other end. Fantasy owners will not be credited with the goal, but they will receive the win, which is now two in a row for the otherwise struggling Ward.
